We have loads of plastic 2L bottles (CocaCola)..
Anyone got any uses for them?
I keep thinking they must be useful, but I am at a loss for what to do with them.

Fill one with water & keep in the car to top up your screen wash etc.
ETA Just spotted this bird feeder on lakeland http://www.lakeland.co.uk/bottle-top-wild-bird-feeder/F/C/DEFAULT/product/513680 -
I use 4 to keep water from the butt to water house plants. In winter the water comes to room temp. so doesn't freeze the roots off the plants.
'fraid most go to recycling though!0 -
I use them for storing home made cordial in. My son has just filched one to make a rocket at Scouts and I've just kept a couple full of cold water in the fridge so I can make cold squash whilst it's been so hot. I seem to vaguely remember decorating them and then putting dried peas in to make some sort of musical instrument when the small person was a lot smaller [not for really teenies though] If not, then maybe a local playgroup could use them. There will probably be much cleverer ideas than mine on https://www.recyclethis.co.uk

Post them on your local freegle/freecycle group and see if there are any takers (gardeners probably).
Skint but happy with my lovely family

Yep - definitely gardening! Cut the top off, turn upside down as cloches for individual plants; or take the lid off, cut the bottom off & bury the 'funnel' into the ground next to a plant to direct the water straight to the roots - very good in dry weather; or just take the lid off & put on top of garden canes, either to stop you poking your eyes out when bending over plants to pick stuff or weed, or if the canes are holding up some netting or fleece will stop the cane poking holes in that.0

Substitue Funnel - Cut off the bottom of the plastic bottle. Turn the bottle upside down and voila! a handy funnel to use for putting oil in your car, or filling jugs, etc.Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

I use a couple every night.(recycle the same ones for a couple of months) The hot water takes a while to arrive from the boiler to the kitchen sink so when I go to wash up I use the bottles to collect the running water until it`s hot enough to put the bowl under IYSWIM.
Then during the following day the collected water in the bottles is used for watering house plants, rinsing tin cans/empty bottles and soaking dirty pans etc. (we are on a water meter)0 -
keep a couple intact. also fill one with tap water and refrigerate for 24 hours - you wont tell it from expensive bottled water! fill one with water and cap tightly, and keep in the car - you will be thankful you did if you ever forget to top up the water for the washers! or have to wash off muddy shoes! or kids! (I also used to keep a towel too). but my empty plastic bottles mostly go in the recycling bin..............dont you have one?0
