I dug up another bank charge claim - this time a halifax credit card from back in 2004 - and have sent my letter for £30ish just now.
Phew, hard work this MSE'ing.
Also, to my amusement and for the first time ever, I saw a MoneySavingExpert sticker in the back of a car in work's car park!

It is still worth giving it a go. I've found that sometimes it works...and sometimes it don't. Though never tried it with this site. Tabbed browsing is just far too useful for this site for me to ever go without."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

Debt totals haven't changed at all! Not got the spare money to do anything this month as I have to replace the boiler at a ridiculous cost of £2500  so that's me stuffed!
In other news I got back the last £30 from First Direct over the weekend, so there's only one penalty fee of £25 to reclaim now from a long closed Halifax credit card.
I'm going to be going "offline" for about a month shortly, as I'm off on a work thing for about two weeks then I'm off on holiday for two weeks :j
When I get back I'll have quite a lot more time (pah! not likely!) to do a bit more moneymaking (gambling & ebay) and will have been paid whilst on holiday so will have a bit more money to chuck at debts.
Also, it looks like flat will go on the market at the end of April unless the tenant buys it!
Good luck if I don't stop by for a while!

Hello! Sorry for the late update - I've been away in Florence for a few days as a romantic break with my lovely OH. Because of this, of course, cash is short. Nonetheless, my total now stands at £13696.89 I'm determined to get rid of this damn barcaycard as soon as possible. I still haven't completed my goals, because I've been away, but if I haven't done them by next week, please please please give me a kick up the bum!Official Debt Free Wannabe Nerd Club member 095!
