The 18k Challenge

  • Hi all,

I've been doing a fair bit of sorting and have discovered that I was charged £30 by First Direct for going overdrawn on my account several years ago.

Should I simply ask them for it back or should I do the whole sheabang with the process on the reclaiming charges threads?

I am all new to this "Getting your charges back". I have only once been charged by my bank and that was only £10.

But was speaking to my OH about this last night and she said she has been charged £125 a couple of times by HSBC for going overdrawn.

My goal today is to research how to get this back. If anyone can advice on the best threads to read it will save a lot of time
    :p

  • Hi guys i'm here  I'm sorry I was on holiday last week and I've been getting a few things sorted but I'm back and I'm in debt free mode...

I wasn't really posting that often because I was unsure about me being on a DMP. But I've thought what the heck, it all works the same at the end of the day.

    So here's my plan -
Today I'm making a wall chart and I will update it every day including my earnings, expenses etc.

I'm also feeling alot better after my sunny break so I'm going into work as often as i can. I'm with a nursing agency so the more i work the more I earn (how obvious) but my earning potential is high so I'm gonna go for it.

I want to have £3000 in savings before christmas!!!! I'm so determined....

I'm also in the throws of getting my wedding stationery website up and running. This is costing £500 but I can pay it in 2 installments. This will cost me £20 in maintenance a month. Hopefully it'll be worth it.

I'm also gonna sell my new range (still to do) of handmade cards to retailers come the new year. I think they'll do well so fingers crossed xxxxx

So that's where I am at the mo. I'm still in this challenge and quite excited about it all.

Good luck everyone you're all fab!
