Well the police went to next door yesterday afternoon, the officer was in there for about 20 mins, and then left, its been very quiet ever since, the man has not been seen since the row, but I am sure this is not the end of it, I would be so embarrased if i were her, shouting like a fish wife

I sympathise as we are living under the same circumstances. We have lived like this for 4 years now but there is nothing we can do about it unless we pay ourselves to take civil action - we decided it wasn't worth the hassle (especially as one night he started making death threats to me over the fence). Now we just stay out of it and let them get on with it.

The police have been to take him away soooo many times and yet she still takes him back. To be honest (as we can hear everything through the walls and they are both literally screaming at each other) she is the one that instigates it. She goes on and on and on and on at him until he snaps and we hear furniture being thrown and the wood splintering (there house must just be a pile of rubbish inside by now). But we've also heard her shouting for him to get off her and stop hurting her and then his voice coming from a totally different room shouting 'what the ***** are you on about?" We think they are animals and that drugs are definately involved.

Molly41 - How did your son react to his room? I'm on tenterhooks here...... :T

I absolutely gutted the kitchen yesterday and it is gleaming. I can highly recommend Fairy Power Spray (and Fly Lady) so back on track now.

Have MIL and FIL to dinner today so making Honey Baked Gammon dinner and Peach Butterscotch Cake for afters. Sunday tea is always a buffet affair with sandwiches, chicken wings and cakes.

Sold more of my books on Amazon (that's 8 in the last week) so feeling like I'm really getting somewhere - Halifax credit card will hopefully soon be history (concentrating on one at a time).

    Hugs to all

Cannot believe it I have been up for 2 hours and only just turned pc on :j

Have housework downstairs done apart from hoovering ( hubbys does that as I can't ) and 2nd wash on. As very dull and overcvast put first load in dryer  but think I will hang next few loads out. I was bad yesterday and did not washing and have 4 loads to do today.

Tomorrow is hubbys birthday and we were going out for a meal today to celebrate BUT he has satarted to do a job for me in house and needs to go to b&q for something he forgot and it is 20 miles away so do not think we will have time to go for meal as stepkids scoming at 5. I coudl always buy him a kfc for his birthday lol

The only thing I am making today will be fresh fruit salad as between lasagne yesterday and then soup late last night I am getting fed up with this cooking lark lol Well not really just fed up witht he mess it generates.

I want to go today and buy a few more large plastic storage containers ...............I AM TURNING INTO MY MOTHER .............I want one for biscuits and small bread as noone in my house seems capible of wapping bread etc up again once opened and at least if in airtight container may last a few days . I have even been saving ice-cream containers to use.

Well off to tidy upstairs now I guess , hope everyone has a great day

    Morning All!

Happy Happy Birthday to little miss Bitsy & Bargainrzl, hope you both have a fab day!

Molly I hope it went OK with DS yesterday. Well done, you, I am very impressed, and have noted that one for future reference, although I pray I won't ever need it;)

House is being attacked today, I want to clean out a couple of cupboard and do a clothes disposal, we have lots of old uniform which could easily be passed on to little brothers and sisters of friends now for spares, I'm sure. I also need to get rid of some tatty stuff and not fitting stuff, and just keep the stuff I know I will wear when I lose weight. Some of it I wouldn't ever consider wearing again, and I need to be honest with myself about it. :) WM is on, I have cleaned the loo and bathroom, and washed the floors, and the boys will vacuum shortly, then I'll clean the downstairs floors, too. I am determined this week is going to be productive whilst I have OH at home to do stuff, there's a few shelves and some missing skirting to get fixed in place. I honestly think he forgets he's a joiner when he's at home! :rotfl:

Hope you all have a lovely day. PenPin, Diva, Ladygrim, and the Sunny's we are all missing you, and hope you are well. Gemmabuckle youare also conspicuous by your absence!

Oops, also meant to say to Flutterby, you know my feelings about that job, I hope you finished filling that form in!:D

    Hugs all round.

Going to make lemon and garlic chicken with new potatoes, sugar snap peas, green beans and broccoli for lunch at around 1.30 ish.

Need to pop to shop for muesli, ice cream and ice cubes and fingers crossed our fridge has stopped leaking - fiddled around with setttings a bit last night.

Went for big shop with DH yesterday but heat got to me so had to go and lie down for a couple of hours with a splitting headache when I got back.

Happy Birthday to Bargain Rzl and miss Bitsy Beans

    :bdaycake::bdaycake:

We have a survey being done on Friday on the house we want to buy so are going down to view it again quickly and check there is nothing "We need to know".

    Lowesy

Was it you saying washing powder you had was rubbish? You could try adding soda crystals to the box and stirring it in.

Re oily stains on clothes, I use dregs of shampoo and rub in stain before washing in machine.

Need to go and prepare chicken so see you all later.

    Hug to all.

    Morning peeps - still morning...just!
Hope the little ones enjoy the football afternoon JackieO - it sounds really fun and good that it's so OS.
Sunny and blustery here - lovely to listen to the wind whistling in the trees.
WM going on in a mo then I'm grilling cajun chicken pieces. We've decided to do out for lunch today as a treat, so the chicken will go into caesar salad tomorrow.
I got a book from the library - The Thrifty Cookbook - 476 ways to eat well with leftovers. Not sure that I would buy it but it's quite interesting to dip into. I'm pretty good at using leftovers (as well all are in here :rotfl:), putting them in soups, curries, stirfries etc but this might give me some new ideas.
ooops - :bdaycake: some cake needed along with birthday wishes for Miss Bitsy and Bargain rzl. Hope you both have a fab day.
Ok, off to walk doggies. they will be all frisky with this wind in their tails:rotfl:

Thanks for asking  Well he came home from work last night and was dumbstruck, He didnt dare speak to me nor I to him. He didnt even ask me where all his clothes had gone. This morning I have been supervising him sorting out and bagging up his clothes for chucking or washing. I made him sort out the yukky stuff and he got the message :T Every time he tried to make excuses I pressed my bull sh*t monitor
    http://www.hawkin.com/find/keyword-is-bull+!!!!/product-is-09945?SearchIsReferrer=true
and he seemed to get the message:eek::eek::eek:

Anyway the desired effect on my other kids has been to get them to sort their rooms out without any hassle from me:T (although Ds2 and Ds3 were not too bad but DD is in a dreadful state!!)

We just all sat down to dinner as a family, which hardly ever happens now as Ds1 is always out, and feel like I have made a bit of progress but Im still worried about his lifestyle and health.

So I have been more active this weekend and am really hoping that im starting to see positive effects of new meds etc and that my energy will return soon. Hope all having a lovely Sunday x

I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
