Hi there! This is the Old Style Daily Thread for Sunday 11th July. 2010. It is an 'Over the garden fence' type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!
[*]As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or slow internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred.
[*]When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new Daily Thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two Dailys' live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new Daily Thread after they get up in the morning.
[*]Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “Hi everyone, hope you are all well” type start is just as good

¡Hola! :hello:

Well I am an hour ahead of most of you, bur is 9.04 here!

Sorry mods lost the new box, but somehow it got split between the text and looked silly, so if you know how to add it then you can fix it, if not we do not have it today:o.

:bdaycake: BargainRZL, Taplad2 & Miss Bitsy Beans

Up before DH & the friend we have staying, but that is pretty normal for me. Did Dorada on the BBQ with just a little salad, as it is quite a filling fish.

Weight loss is continuing ont he LC diet, a bit boring and fed up of cooking breakfasts, but hey oh! it's working, think I may need to change the batteries in the scales though as they took 10.3kg off me this morning from yesterday, .103kg I could believe but not 22lbs!:eek: Wish it were true:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Meal out tonight, watching the footie, trying to decide what I have yellow and red! It will be either fish or a lamb shank for me with just green veg. Will continue on the water with an odd diet coke. Not quite out of induction yet so managing to avoid adding a bicardi to the coke;).

May pop some washing on, but major cleaning will wait until our friend leaves on Thursday.

(((((hugs))))) to all our absent friends, and current ones who need one too.

Morning Donny, and all to follow.

Been MIA for a few days - just been too busy. Was DD's birthday yesterday and had a barbecue Friday for family then another yesterday for friends. Having to do loads of cooking and housework in this heat hasn't been fun!

Am having a slow morning, catching up with some blogs. Then need to ensure uniforms are ironed for tomorrow. Taking DS & his friend to see N'Dubz at Somerset House this evening  (what possessed me to book this!)

So quite a busy weekend and have a busy week coming up :o

Hope everyone is ok, will try and catch up with the thread today (((hugs))) wherever needed.x

    Morning everyone.

    It's my DD's 2nd Birthday today :j
We're heading off to Twycross Zoo in a bit and having a BBQ round at my mums for tea this evening. Not much OS going on today apart from making a packed lunch, hanging out some washing and a quick tidy round. There are toys and bits of cardboard box etc everywhere. Why does stuff have to come with soooooooo much excessive packaging.

Seems a bit more breezy today so can't decide between a dress or my jeans. Don't want to be stuck at the zoo sweating buckets in jeans as it was so hot yesterday. Likewise don't want to be freezing my butt off either :rotfl:

Anyway had better get a move on, not had brekkie yet and belly is rumbling.

Not read yesterdays thread so hugs all round to those that need them.
Have a good day OS or not.

It rained here this morning for a few minutes, but the sun is out now.
WM & DW both on, we've had cooked breakfast & it's rubber chicken yet again this week.
I shall strip the bed after a cuppa & then vacuum through, after that I shall sit & crochet, I've nearly finished another blanket.
    Have a good day everyone.
    Hugs Hester

    Good morning everyone.

I found this for the first time yesterday (OS daily thread) so thought I join in .

Didn't get to sleep till 03:15ish (last the last time I saw on the clock) and my cat tried to wake me at 06:45 so feeling a little tired.
Looks like another hot day here and already watered the garden and greenhouse. Today will be a little weeding and then hitting the lottie for more weeding there also and seeing what is ready. Washing is on the line and thankfully will not need any ironing :).

Hope you all have a good day.

    Morning All

Sounds like its wet and windy still here which DH won't like as he is working the ferry crossing from NI to Scotland escorting bands over for tomorrows parades. He thinks its a 12 hour shift and as he is getting picked up at 11 and he was still awake at 5am this morning he's going to be shattered!

Turns out my online delivery is coming today....got my days wrong :o and after that I will get a few more MS jobs done...have just 7 left to do so I'm on the home straight!
Shops don't open til 1pm here on a Sunday so I'll get the shopping away and head out with th kids for a couple of hours.

Need to finalise my meal plan for the week and hopefully get the house a bit organised, DH is working tomorrow and tuesday so we have a Jarmy day planned for Wednesday :D

Hope N9eav's ok - is their some MSE black hole that keeps swallowing our OP's??

    Have a good one x

    Morning all,

Woke up this morning to rain, which lasted for about 20 mins and now its stopped again :D, freshened everything up, and we did need some.

Well the police went to next door yesterday afternoon, the officer was in there for about 20 mins, and then left, its been very quiet ever since, the man has not been seen since the row, but I am sure this is not the end of it, I would be so embarrased if i were her, shouting like a fish wife

Donny my induction phase is meant to be over tomorrow, but I am going to carry it on for at least another week, my weight loss seems to have tailed off a bit, so another week may help.

OH has gone to a local boot sale, and we will go to an afternoon one in the local town later on, I need a little bedside table for the spare room, I saw a perfect one last week, but it was already sold :(, will keep looking.

Can't remember whats on the meal plan for today, but I have a craving for lamb, so I might pop into sainsbugs of the way home, I need some diet coke anyway.

:bdaycake:Happy Birthday to Bargin Rzl, not 'seen' you for a while, hope you are ok xx

:bdaycake:Happy Birthday to Miss Bitsy, enjoy the zoo xx

Ok better get on, have good days all xx

happy Birthday to both miss bitsy beans & bargain Rzl Hope they have a great day.well the sun is out but a nice breeze is blowing so its a little less humid today.Just about to hoover the sitting room as its a little cooler than yesterday ,I did manage to get all the ironing done and put away last night Eldest Dd is coming for coffee this morning so a general tidy up is on the cards .I am taking the three youngest grandchildren to the local church hall for a swoppsie's session with their Match Attack cards this afternoon. They will also see the 1966 world cup replayed on a big screen there so they can watch England in the glory days. Its all been laid on for the children as its world cup day to get the youngsters in the mood for the final I expect.I must admit I will be glad when all the hoo ha is over and we get back to normal again .Still its all free and I get to have cuppa as well.Tomorrow my friend is arriving for a few days from Dartford to stay as her husband is away working on the Frnborough air show so we will be doing a lot of chinwagging and knitting and on Tuesday we are going to Herne Bay for the day for lunch and a stroll.I hope everyone has a good weekend and doesn't get too hot.
    take care all
