Gemmzie - give him a big hug when he does get back and reorganise your evening from there, life really is far to short for anger and being annoyed.

On your flip side, I'd really love it if my DH could even offer to help out with something like that.

    Hi everyone! :hello:

I've had a lovely day today - had my opticians appointment this morning and had the best news I've ever had at a visit!! My right eye has IMPROVED by 0.25 and my left eye has stabilised at the same as my last eye test 2 years ago!! In 16 years worth of opticians appointments I have never stayed the same, let alone get better!! :j So I am really chuffed as it also has money saving implications too - I now don't have to get new glasses for the next 2 years!! :T Sorry to go on about it - just so chuffed!!

Anyway, apart from that I had a lovely afternoon, hubby and I went to the park and lay out in the sun - got nice tan lines now! We just sat and chatted and read - perfect. :) At home now, and doing a bit of batch cooking - making Spanish rice and also a chilli con carne (haven't attempted either of them before, so fingers crossed!) The Spanish rice is a recipe of my Aunt's that I used to love when I was younger, so got the recipe from her this week. The the chilli is a Jam1e Ol1ver recipe....hope they both work out!

Jo - Sounds like you've had a lovely day - my eyes have finally started getting better too - my optician says it normally takes 21 years to see a change for the better and mine was slap, bang on 21 years. By the time I'm 90 I should have 20-20 vision :p:D

Very true Pooky, it's just we hardly ever get any alone time or a house to ourselves - he's not even playing :(
We can't even skip the night out as it's a special one, poop.
