I've just had a successful visit to collect DGS from his dad's. We go once a month and costs us about £17 for the round trip. However, as well as getting a lovely roast dinner, we went foraging.
We came home with a hand ful of blackberries, 2.5 lbs of elderberries and 21.5 lb of the sweetest mirabelle plums I've ever found, which were growing wild at the edge of the football field. :T
That'll be enough plums for 3 gallons of wine and 15 jars of jam to add to the store cupboard. Then of course there are the blackberries and elderberries......Making magic with fabricLight travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.0 -

I really am going doolally, muddling up this and "still tough n getting tougher" thread - sorry. Can't remember what I've read/posted where! Would also be interested in bramble wine -think I will have tons - but probably need special equipment? Remember my grandad had special bottles and airlocks and things taking over the airing cupboard.Jan 2011 GC £300/£150.79 (2 adults, 2 teens, working dog, includes food/cleaning/toiletries)0

I'm wondering if the following makes me mad rather than ultra OS....last week after pickling some home grown veg i discovered that i had some pickling vinegar left over...so i told my DD that it was really good for hair when used as a final rinse, she promptly went off and tried it and came downstairs really impressed...for the shampoo i had made her up a bicarbonate solution...then i went and washed my hair too. Waste not, want not, as the saying goes.Grocery Challenge for October: £135/£200

I'd like to know more on running a laptop this way, anywhere I can go to find out TF ?
Don't actually know much about it myself, I'm afraid. I met someone earlier this year who was running a netbook from a battery charged by a solar panel. The solar panel was small, but the battery was BIG... I think he said it was a submarine battery.
Here is someone who put together a system capable of running a laptop:
