Sorry folks, there called Cinnamon Rolls not buns!

I dont use a mixer. I rub the fat into the flour to begin with, then add the other ingredients, mix well with a knife then knead for 10 minutes.

Errr....what type of cooker do you have please? (just in case it's an Aga - and its not going to translate over to a standard electric fan oven cooker like mine.....)

Fan assisted electric, would love an aga, but it would take up all of my kitchen and then fall through the paper thin floor to the maisonette below!

Apart from wrecking the building in your case, actually AGAs can be a bit of a pain.

You really do need to cook most stuff in the ovens, as using the hotplates very rapidly leads to a drop in temperature in the plates and the oven. For modern families who use smaller pans, they are very wasteful.

My OH's family are all from Ireland and his Grandma had an Aga equivalent (can't remember the brand) which she stoked up and cooked home made soda bread on every morning, it heated the house and cooked everything all in one. They had a tiny terraced three bed cottage with 7 kids in it  It wasn't all bad though - they were just around the corner from one of the best salmon rivers so used to frequently have free salmon for dinner :D

A LOT cheaper to impress the neighbours to wear the "right" style of wellies chuck.....get out those Hunter wellies now - green of course:D...and if you're as "scruffy" as I sometimes am then it HAS to mean you're "loaded" (there's an exception to every rule - and I'm it in this case....:().
