TBH I don't think theres much they sell that I haven't got yet :rotfl:I've been a customer since I got married in 89.I mostly wait for the sales then have a splurge so I get freepostage but you know sometimes you just want a roll of easyleave or something that noone else makes it'll be handy for that..like my mum said when she spent 50 quid in there yesterday!!!0

We have a Lakeland in town, so to prevent splurges I get the family to pop in and get me things - that way I have to make a detailed list and get time to 'cool off' before the money is spent.Put the kettle on.0

My trick is to go through the catalogue, mark everything on my wish list, faint at the total cost, and then put off ordering until the urgency has gone off and I discover I can manage without after all. Having said that, I do have quite a few lakeland bits and pieces in my cupboards so it's obviously not foolproof:)Jan 2011 GC £300/£150.79 (2 adults, 2 teens, working dog, includes food/cleaning/toiletries)0

If you are lucky enough to have Sky there are BBC area programmes on 971 onwards.
We have a Lakeland not far away from here but I tend to go once a year but it is very very difficult not to buy all those things you can totally live without. But the jam jar lids are very good value.
So Christmas gifts perfect for my Sister- in-law - Barf in a jar :rotfl:Just shows it really is the thought that counts ( that noise was me falling off my chair laughing at you lot!)Clearing the junk to travel light

I take it that barf in a jar is the present you've long been searching for for your sister-in-law then ginny? Does your animosity towards her go back years, or is this a recent thing?0

Oh Chocclare my dear Sil is the very opposite to us here and is infuriating and always has been. She is cruel to my dear old Mum and shrivels her with a comment! Its not that she and my Bro are well off as they work hard for their dosh its her wasting money that bugs me and her shopping trips when she suggests my mum buy a handbag for 80 quid - on a state pension?? I won't bore you all but needless to say I don't get to spend much time with my Brother because of her attitude. Its also means I have a 45 mile round trip to see my Mum every week when they were supposed to look after her in her old age - their idea to move her near them when dad passed, I looked after my disabled Dad while Mum worked for many years. Its not just me though, her daughter in law struggles with her too! in case you think Im hard to get on with!Clearing the junk to travel light

That looks cool, we had a similar one here a while back 'One Land' which was a really good series, where they got three modern day families to go back to how life was in the 1850s when the first settlers arrived in New Zealand.
