I consult this site for almost every aspect of my life, including fixing my PC!

MSE has proven time and time again as an honest, trustworthy and invaluable source of infromation.

Have to agree...this is a great site...I'm on it everyday...not sure how Martin would feel about a knighthood...he may get all carried away by the whole thing and start to buy new shoes, drive something bigger than a SMART car and possibly have his hair styled (rather than cutting his own with clippers!). Love ya all!!!!!!!

Some people on forum do not agree with royal family and knighthoods- may be against their values. mse itself may not agree with the whole of issue of knighthoods. some people in the public eye have turned them down. you also find that some people once having the title because so full of their own self importance that they very quickly stop doing what led to the kinghthood or title in the first place.

But yes I agree Martin's work is brilliant and I don't mean to bash it, just saying that it's just had a great effect on relatively few people, compared with the general population.

Me thinks more car stickers are needed - why not get them sponsored by a company like the printed mortgage guides and get them posted on request? I've been meaning to send an SAE for about 6 months now but, well, meh either that or get some cash together and get a few billboards with the site promo on it

Dunno about the sir-age - been somewhat devalued by the "bung us a few quid and we'll see you all right" govt.

But respect due for sticking to the "internet as intended" - much of the rest has been hijacked for commercial purposes. Despite the odd hiccup/whinge etc, this is still one of the best community sites going - as they say use it (properly) or lose it...

• It was visited 2.46 million times during August
• 1.14 million UK users visited the site at least once in August (ie unique users).
• 670,000 people have opted to receive the weekly email and this is growing by over 1000 a day on average
• The Forum has 110,000 members (membership is free of course)who have started 227,000 threads and written 2,718,000 posts. That is equivalent to 6,800 paperback books

Thought my fellow numbers and list nerds would like this.
