Just replying to another thread made me thing of this.
What decade do you believe the best cars were made in and why?

For me, I like the 90's. Gave us the Toyota Supra 2nd Gen and the lotus elise. Still both fantastic cars.

Although I wasn't driving then I'd have to go with the 60's. It was the heyday of British car manufacturing. All those lovely Jags, MGs, Triumphs etc. and no speed cameras.

What could be better than cruising around on, relatively, uncongested roads in an E-Type?

And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die

I agree. Although I'm not the E-type's biggest fan there were plenty of great cars around then.

I'm not the biggest E-Type fan either but it just seemed like a pretty iconic 60's car to mention. Personally I think I'd prefer an Elan.

The Esprit wasn't introduced until 1976 so definately a 70's car.

I'd say the 80's as it was an era when most cars came with an element of quality (rather than the 70's junk) and people could start to afford them - think Golf GTi's, XR2's, XR3's etc.
