We could have a duet? You play in f major and i'll play in a major, one b and 3 #'s :D

That should be an interesting combination, ( though not necessarily melodic ). :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Very interesting! :D I used to be able to 'borrow' the church organ where my inlaws worshipped - only when there was no one around! I just wish I'd had the skill to make the most of it.

Have you seen the programme on itv? is it born to shine? Young people are teaching err mature celebrities to perform in various ways, in a very short space of time. There was a celeb, ( i can't remember who ) :rotfl: who won the first round. No mean feat, learning to play a piece on the joanna, when youv'e never played before.

I remember seeing the trailer - I'll try to get it on catch-up. It looked good, but the trouble with seeing trailers at silly o'clock in the morning is that they are out of your head by the middle of the next afternoon.

Thousands of hours of scales... urgh. ;)

Thinking about it, maybe 100's of 1000's of hours of scales. Boring :rotfl:

Sorry i got distracted by errm doing something on tinternet, ( which i should have done earlier ). I'm not used to going to work, and i've left it rather late. You will never know the truth behind what you said in my diary. Its soooo funny, and if i told you i'd have to k* you :rotfl:

Don't give me ideas! I've never tried that, though I could tell you a few stories...

I'm not going to, of course, seeing as you aren't telling me about the funny thing I said. Not that I'm bothered.
    Not in the slightest. :D

I think my DH is right when he tells me that if I'm tired, I'm more likely to be down. I slept over 10 hours last night - catching up after work - and today, once I finally got up, I was in a constructive mood. I returned two parcels including shoes that I ordered recently and liked but in reality were too tight. I got all the way to the train station to sort out a refund for a ticket and realised I didn't have the right card with me, so that's still on the 'to do' list. I've also done a couple of loads of washing.

Going into W*lkos on the way through town (forgot a bottle of water and they are doing two for 60p) and saw they are further developing the lines they do for animals. I feel sorry for the 3 independent pet shops locally but I already buy hay through W*lkos as it's always been good quality. One of the pet shops can have superb hay but last time I looked it wasn't so good. Anyhow, there is now a display dedicated to keeping chickens! That's tantamount to permission, isn't it? Of course I can have a couple of chooks if W*lkos sells stuff for them. The heading of the display made out they ideal for families with children: well, we grew up with a dozen chickens in the back garden and my main impression is that they are dozy unsociable creatures, but I'd like some nonetheless.

What else? £20 for a pair of shoes. (Can justify this having sent the other pair back). I had got to the stage where skirts weren't getting worn as they looked wrong with trainers! I did buy a couple of pairs earlier this year through car boot sales which had dealt with the formal footwear problem, but these are more casual. Not ideal for work, so maybe I need to keep looking. ;) (I was quite tempted by some others there - it's hard to find shoes that fit so I was delighted to find a whole make that seems okay).

Two food shopping trips - we spent the evening with homegroup people just chatting for the end of term get-together, so we took some crisps and of course managed to get discounted bread at the same time, also £2 worth of coleslaw for 10p :) and a smoked salmon and cream cheese sandwich for tomorrow's lunch. I found out last week that these are gorgeous and mark down very nicely thank you. :) I am spoilt because I now have two lots of left-overs and the sandwich so I think something will have to go in the freezer.

Talking of the freezer, in my quest to use stuff up I got (marked down) salmon and coley to add to frozen smoked haddock and made a fish pie for dinner, followed by rice pudding. This time I remembered where to find the recipes and it turned out beautifully. :D

On the confessions side of things, I bought more cappuccinos although they are not yet at their cheapest. :o They help me get through waking nights, of which more tomorrow, the day after and the day after that.

The budget isn't going so well this week. I missed the market what with one thing an another and although we've eaten well and cooked from scratch, it hasn't been very MS. Need to plan tomorrow for the rest of the week - oh, and buy milk and hot chocolate

Gone to find the pictures I can't see, I expect - anyway they've reappeared.

Something I meant to put in yesterday - just one of those odd things that happen:

When wewent to our friends' house last night, DH spotted a bush in their garden with fruit on and commented on it to the husband as we went in, along the lines of 'Don't forget to pick your blackcurrants!'

The husband said 'Oh, we never get round to picking them, you can have them if you like!'

The wife then looked at me and said 'You gave me that bush years ago!'

I've no memory of giving it to her at all, but she's not someone who would have got it mixed up. How very odd that something I gave someone eons ago should be bearing fruit that's then offered back to me!

Wondering if I can pluck up courage to take them up on their offer! :D I adore blackcurrants!

    Boiling hot day!

Met up with friends and went for an icecream (£2) - coffee flavour of course. :D That shouldn't come out of the food money but I'll see if I can make it so. Suddenly remembered I'd paid for piano out of food money so owed it £10, which I've now taken out of the bank so the food fund is looking healthy again. Popped into Mr T for milk, hot choc and toothpaste. Last of the big spenders.

Okay - confession - Wilkos (I ought to get a job there, wonder what the staff discount's like?) are selling off some gardening stuff so after my visit to Mum I went in for veg seeds and came out with carrot and beefsteak tomato, rudbeckia and busy lizzie seeds (total £2.40) and 2 hanging basket liners at 20p each.

The vegetable seeds are sow by this year but I think it's worth trying the tomatoes next season. The carrots can start late in a container asap.

Wombled 30 points. :) The lovely lady on the till had to try several times to get them to scan - must remember not to leave them screwed up at the bottom of my bag for weeks.

One accidental money saving - got in the shower and found there was no shampoo so I used shower gel. I remember my Dad (chemistry background) washed his hair with washing up liquid as he said it was basically the same. I'm not sure it did his hair any good, but on the other hand shampoos weren't as sophisticated in those days. :)

    On nights tonight...

They always say a mild washing up detergent does the same job as any expensive shampoo. Thats whats mine is like. A big green bottle of fairy liquid type stuff. It only cost 10p. People have always commented how soft my hair is. Seeing as i wash it everyday, too.

    Have a g'day on nights miggy x
