Then last week, i had a payment and the OH noticed it had a rip on one corner. suprise suprise, no money inside!! I had two payment BOTH go missing, from two totally different people. This all in 3 months!
I for one am totally sick of it! What happened to the good ole royal Mail we had? The one that ENSURED you got sure post, and not just "dumped" it on your doorstep, rang your bell and just walked away, even when raining!!!
I asked headoffice about this, and got no response
The sorting machines sometimes chew the letters up or rip the ends off!
The postie sorting your mail should have noticed the damage and put it in a special clear envelope, which acknowledges the RM are aware of it.
Sending money in the post seems a bit daft, you don't say wether it was coins or notes?0 -

There is another choice...............you could do it the old fashioned way, get on your horse and delivery it yourself0 -

Never, ever, ever send (or ask people to send) cash through the post!! That's just asking for trouble0 -
I think it is time you contacted Postwatch, the industry watchdog. They would be most interested that (so called) Royal Mail refused to take your complaint seriously. They will then look into it on your behalf.

to add to this, two parcels, or more like packets I sent last friday, neither have arrived, and then yesterday, an ebayer messaged me to say a payement they had sent to my home, had been returned saying undeliverable
I have had enough, and am going to make a complaint!0 -

I never ask it to be sent! I know the hassle is causes, hence why I asked her to pay again due to this being down to her sending it0 -

one was coins and the other notes0 -
Just a thought, why not arrange to collect credit cards/debit cards from your local branch. I have always done this because I want to minimise the chance for some rogue postie to get his mits on my cards, as normally it is sent by internal mail by the banks, and this way is more traceable.
I appreciate that alot of people work and cannot get to the bank, but surely you can pop in during lunch time? And why oh why do credit cards not have the picture of the card holder laser etched on the back?? Double security. And yes the lady in the avatar is me

Eventually the RM said that they were aware of the problem and were investigating the postman whose round my colleague was on and were very grateful for all the information he had given. Then one day, they phoned to say that they had got the police involved and got a search warrant for the postman's house and found stacks of mail and CDs/DVDs etc which should have been delivered to people on that postman's round. His defence: "No-one told me I couldn't keep the mail if there wasn't someone at the door to give it to"!0 -

The only time I ever had a problem with a credit card going missing, was when I had to collect it from the bank. There were loads of fraudulent transactions on it, going way above my credit limit, but it did actually help that I hadn't collected it from the bank because it was easy for me to maintain that it was the bank's fault.
Once, I arranged to collect a debit card from a different, more local branch of a building society since the branch which was holding it for me to collect was a couple of hundred miles away. They agreed to arrange this for me and I was supposed to go to the local branch in 2-3 days time to collect it. However, the next morning, my debit card arrived in the post in an envelope with a compliment slip. So much for fraud prevention measures.0
