What are your requirements in a (smart)phone?0 -
Well in reviews I have seen it's been described as being better than the Iphone and everyone seems to think it's a great phone.
Its screen is particularly good and the way you can pinch the screen to zoom in on web pages plus it automatically reformats the text so you can still read it without having to scan from side to side once enlarged.
I say all this as though I've got one! It's on order but they are in short supply at the moment,0 -
I've had one since they were first released. I'm very happy with it. Like all phones, it's not perfect but overall you won't be disappointed.0

I got one and love it to bits.
Has to be the best phone ive ever had.0 -
i have the desire and i like it.
but if i was buying today, i would definitely have a look at the samsung galaxy s released at the end of june, before making a decision whether to buy the desire.
look at loads of reviews available online about the phones and see loads of videos comparing the two and the iphone4 available online and on youtube and then make up your own mind. as a starting point, if you want samsung galalxy s review in detail then see electricpig website. http://www.electricpig.co.uk/samsungsmartphone/galaxys
i dont think you will be disappointed much if you buy either phone, but if you need proxy wifi support then you may be big time disappointed with both phones !!!!!
as with all things, a lot depends on your requirements.bubblesmoney :hello:0 -

I just want to know its pro and cons and what it does better than the competitors like Iphone ect but internet is impotent feature for me and how the QWERTY keyboard performs when using it horizontal and also how it handeals mutapal email acount0 -
I've got a Desire and am very happy with it. I've not had any problems using the touch screen keyboard. It's also easy to add voice to text if you don't want to type. The internet woeks well on it. I only use mine with my gmail account so I can't say how it handles multiple accounts. It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die0 -

The desire brilliantly reformats pages so that you dont have to scroll side to side, this was one of the reasons i switched back to android from the iphone as i found the iphone was useless at this. You dont even need to pinch, a quick double tap of the screen and it reformats it prefectly.
Its lightening quick as a browser (especially over wifi) its probably faster than my pc at home, and with the Froyo update this is said to improve the speeds by at least 2.5x
You can add multitple email accounts, i have two seperate accts hotmail which uses the phones mail app (this can have multiple accounts added to it) and i also have a gmail account which uses the built in gmail app.
I dont really use the qwerty keyboard in a typical way as i use an app called 'swype' which i dont think i could ever switch from now as its amazing. - i recommend having a look on youtube for swype android demos.
Its a brilliant phone. Would recommend it to anyone, well apart from blinkered iphone fanboys, although plenty of them have made the switch.TESCO EVERY LITTLE change to the t&cs HELPS0 -
I've had my Desire for two months and it has done everything I hoped it would be capable of and more. Been using it for 'comms on the go' and it has replaced the need for me to carry a laptop around for much of the time. Still finding new things it can do. Very happy user.
Can't recommend it highly enough.

how can the bit in bold just improve the speed instantly like that. It inpressive tho if it just does:cool:. Is swype that app which allows you to drew a line across the screen and then put the words you have covered in the text. If I am thinking of the right thing then i am sure somone broke the world record for the "fasted text ever sent" with that same app. can you still text like you can on old phones where the 2 key corespones to letters "abc" ect ? but thanks for your insight0
