hey thats ok, I think i only worked out how to do the quoting thing after about 1000 posts :beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
Beanietdc - thank you you made me smile. Why can't there be more people in the world like you? Thank you for your kind offer but couldn't accept. You have cheered up my day though.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. Feel free to accept - I really do mean it.
A few Boots points go a long way!Debt free date - June 2008 :T :T :T0 -
To ZTD - haven't worked out this quote within reply thing so bear with me please.
contracting/redundancies- Yes I have been looking. I know I could get something pretty quickly if needed. I work in a very male orientated field so only problem I face is employer looking at me (female, 30, no kids yet) as a bit of a gamble as I could want maternity leave. Trust me this sort of discrimination still goes on. If all else fails I'll go back to teaching. Lower wages but with redundancy payment I would be debt free.
boss - my boss doesn't like women. Have reported it and am being advised to pull together a file of evidence in case I need it.
bf - no wasn't suffocating him. Every women he's every had a long term thing with has left him. Due to other problems he was having (family) think he couldn't cope. Well in fact been told he couldn't cope. I was the only thing he could remove from the equation as he said if I left him he'd fall apart. Jump before he was pushed was how my Mum put it. Thing was I couldn't see myself ever being without him, we'd gotten that close.
accidents - can be clumsy yes but accidents have been due to misfortune rather than anything else.
where I live - I do actually live in a nice area. But a few of the houses have been rented out to people that don't give two hoots about anything. Complained to council and police. Thankfully police have at least done something about some of them and the council has made the landlords libel for standards falling.
compact - am good at jigsaw puzzles but not that good. Contents were a powdery mess on the car park floor.
wedding - no brothers/sisters. Tempted to take one of my friends. Though have a problem there as she's pretty broke at the moment but have offered to let her raid my wardrobe for something to wear.
Did just get an email from the person who lost the voucher thanking me for handing it in. She thought someone would have pocketed it.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. It's a bit like standard html with the (TAG) blah (/TAG) construction - though of course with square brackets. You could do what I do, reply to the message then copy the initial (QUOTE=) tag and paste (^V) it on the front of all the pieces of text that it's needed, then do the same with the very last (/QUOTE), but working backwards - "preview" is your friend.
I hope that made sense... :rotfl:unixgirluk wrote:Trust me this sort of discrimination still goes on.
Yeah I know - I work in that sort of area.unixgirluk wrote:If all else fails I'll go back to teaching. Lower wages but with redundancy payment I would be debt free.
Well you have your Plan B. I hope that's making you feel better.unixgirluk wrote:boss - my boss doesn't like women. Have reported it and am being advised to pull together a file of evidence in case I need it.
There's Plan C too! See things aren't as bad as you feared.unixgirluk wrote:Thing was I couldn't see myself ever being without him, we'd gotten that close.
But if he just goes off like that, were you really that close? He actually doesn't sound like that good a "catch" from what you are saying - and that's with you being biased! Did your Mum like him?unixgirluk wrote:accidents - can be clumsy yes but accidents have been due to misfortune rather than anything else.
It's more a sudden change in clumsiness than anything. I work with someone who could trip over dandruff, but it's of no concern because he always could...unixgirluk wrote:wedding - no brothers/sisters. Tempted to take one of my friends. Sounds like a plan. But no tapping the men with wives. When I say "with" I mean within earshot.unixgirluk wrote:Did just get an email from the person who lost the voucher thanking me for handing it in. She thought someone would have pocketed it.

To ZTD - My Mum loved my bf. Thats a first! She's always been right before about whether someone's been a time waster etc. Before she always told me to forget them and move on etc (and she's always been right), but this time she's telling me to hang in there, he'll be back once he's sorted his head out. Was gobsmacked when she said this. She been right every single time before (she knew my last bf was cheating on me for instance, can't explain it she just had a feeling).
To everyone - bumped into girl whose voucher I found. Been given fiver voucher as thank you for handing it in. She said she was going to buy me chocolates but didn't know what I'd like so gave me the voucher. Its for tesco so will nip in after work and see how much the Barbara Daly (tesco) compacts are. Honesty doesn't always pay off but this time it looks like it has.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. Well you have hit rock bottom and now the only way is up.
To tackle anything you really need to lift your mood (suffering from depression mild or otherwise?) can you go to your doctors for some antidepressants or councilling? While youre at it - get him to part with a prescription for a multivitamin to boost your flagging immune system.
As for the B/F...if he has bailed now what would happen if the going really got tough? You got pregnant, you became seriously ill etc
Not all men run away from their responsibilty because they are still immature little boys. There are plenty of kind, thoughtful, funny, romantic, gentle, generous, sweet, loving guys out there...so wait for one of them to come along dont spill anymore tears over this guy.
I would dump the "so" called mate who tried to rip you off - she sounds like a jealous leech.
Anyway good luck with everything - tackle one problem at a time BUT start with ways to make yourself feel good - you deserve it!0 -

Yeah, but can your mum tell you if he'll stay? Especially during a crisis?

Dear me! The "Good Karma" bringing good luck doesn't usually operate that quick!

Is it really worth falling out with someone over £12? Maybe she made a mistake, maybe she is broke - it would have been a good friend who could have overlooked it, rather than using it as a weapon to castigate her.
Don't take this the wrong way but you seem to find the negative in almost everything, I think you need a more relaxed outlook on life.
If you go through life thinking that your boss is against you, your boyfriends against you, your friends are against you, your neighbours are against you, then you're going to have a pretty lonely & miserable existence.
It seems to be common today that people want to find someone to blame for something - calling the Police & Council on your neighbours, reporting your boss, confronting your friend - you sound desperately unhappy, even perhaps very depressed, & I think you need to find out why.
Perhaps councelling might help you to uncover something making you sad & help you to be happier. Councelling is good, it doesn't mean you're a fruitcake.0 -

I don't agree ...£12 to me is almost half a week's shopping for me and my kids-I'm afraid I couldn't overlook that, and neither should the OP.Debts Jan 2014 £20,108.34
