Thanks Wendz, weekend is a quite one for a change. Cooking a nice roast dinner for lunch today then off to see the folks this afternoon.

We met the photographer yesterday so that's another thing crossed off the list. We are thinking of a chocolate fountain for the evening, but it's not been budgeted for so will have to save that money as extra. I quite fancy a sweetie bar myself, but we'll see.

Start of a new week. Got a rotten working week at the end of this week, but never mind, we'll get through it. Thinking an indoors day today as the weather is so bad.

This morning is being spent working out new budgets for each month. I always get to car insurance etc renewal and have to pay monthly because I haven't saved enough through the year. I hate paying the interest charge so aim to start properly, including all car tax, mot etc, holidays, presents blah.

    - Budgets done and some serious work will need to be done every month to achieve all we want to get done next year, but we like a challenge.
I have just bought my breakdown cover for £34 with £23 cashback and used money from the car budget (that's now empty)

It's the weekend! Going to relax tonight with a glass of wine.

I've converted some clubcard vouchers and bought some Xmas presents this afternoon, with one more to go back and buy. Tomorrow we are going to do a bit of shopping and try to find the phone DD wants so she can take a look at it before I order it online (and get cashback of course)

There's not much xmas shopping left to do apart from stocking and the kids which hopefully wont be too much. I'm looking for as many offers as I can. Haven't thought of anything for OH yet though.

I started a new diary last night over on MFW. It felt right as I really want to tackle this mortgage and without the pressure of the wedding it will be possible, so am settling myself in now whilst it's quiet.
I'll still be reading everyone else's but as I'm technically not a DFW it feels a bit wierd having my diary here. Hope to see you there. https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2859974
