Start of a new month, and getting scarily close to Christmas now. I really NEED to get the house organised, Xmas organised and make sure we have enough money for the wedding (oh and get the wedding organised.
I'm going to make myself be on top of this (I hope)
Start today by going to the supermarket and getting some food. I pre ordered Beauty and the Beast on dvd last week as it's my favourite of all time. It was despatched on Saturday so really hoping it arrives today so me and dd2 can watch it this afternoon.0

Yes, with you on the christmas thing - I can't believe how close it's getting now! Really need to do a proper inventory of what pressies I have for people and also start getting bits in for OH's "Years supply of" box again.
Also can't believe that your thing with that tooth was STILL dragging on all this time later. Did you write the letter? I reckon you ought to and you have little to lose.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

I didn't actually, but Oh complained. The dentist in question has now left the practice for good, so I'm unsure what good complaining would do now. I did get two treatments free (but only because I walked out without seeing reception).
I was too scared to complain in the middle of a treatment to be honest.0

Beauty and The Beast is my favourite too! I am going to order in a minute actually! Have been waiting so long for it to be released.
It is scarily close to Christmas isn't it, really need to get organised too.0

We both really enjoyed Beauty and the Beast, and had a lovely afternoon.
I've managed to change our home insurance this week, saving £100 and getting £50 cashback. It makes me wonder how many people don't check for renewal prices and companies get away with extortionate renewal prices.
I have a day off today and we're looking at colleges for dd1. Nice to have the day off and I MIGHT manage to get a couple of bits done.0

Well done on the insurance YB - cashback too - excellent!
Good luck with the colleges. 🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡 🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

I've just checked the joint account to find we've been given a charge of £11 for going overdrawn last month. Really cross as I have never had a charge in my life. The joint acc is something we struggle with every month despite puttin enough money in according to the budget so it really needs looking at again.
On the positive, I have just ordered DD1's bridesmaid dress from BHS to find it has 20% off and free delivery today so saved £24 plus £3.950

Just catching up with my favourite diaries. Hope you are feeling back to normal now - what a time you have had with that dentist and tooth, you poor thing, it's a blessing he has left though and you won't have to ever have him for treatment again.
I've been kind of off the money saving wagon for a while and I actually don't like it! I much prefer being organised and not "wasting" money on unnecesary things so I really need to get myself into gear and try and get organised this w/e, especially with the meal planning.
 Have a good w/e everyone.

Hey primula, good to see you. I am starting to appreciate seeing balances go up rather than battling them down, so it's nice to be able to save rather than pay back debt at the mo. I hope it stays that way through xmas. Good luck with the meal planning this weekend.
DD1's bridesmaid dress arrived today! I'm super impressed with the delivery time. She has fallen in love with it, so we're keeping it. I wasn't sure about the colour, but as I have chosen teal as my colour scheme it's very hard to get any to match properly, but it looks good against the colours for the flowers and the decorations on the invitation so it's good enough for me.
Last night I did my credit report for a 30 day trial and £15 cashback has tracked.0

Sounds like your daughters bridesmaids dress was a good buy then!
Hope you are having a good weekend.0
