            Hello Yukkibear,
Lovely to see you back posting in your diary again - I've missed your diary. Sounds like you have done really well on the money and wedding front so well done on that. Poor kitty cat, hope he/she is ok. Def keep posting in your diary.

Thanks Primula. Yes I think we have done well, I'm just impatient and want everything right now!
My poor moggy came home one morning completely covered in oil. The same happened to next doors cat too, and the vet thinks they either fell into a vat of oil or were dunked. I'm hoping it was the first, but he's fine after some intense bathing from the vet and medicine etc so thank goodness for that. His hair is falling out now though which is quite sad but it will grow back.
Today I have made one ebay sale and trasferred the £8 odd into savings. I've also registered myself for a nectar account as our card is in OH's name and then I will apply for nectar's 0% credit card next month which will be the buffer for any left overs for the wedding, although hopefully we wont need to use it too much. My Tesco 0% runs out the beginning of January but I want it gone by Dec at least as I have heard horror stories about the 0% ending on Tesco's so want to make sure it's clear within plenty of time to avoid any interest.0

I sympathise on the cat thing - when we lived in our old flat ours came home one day STINKING of diesel - god knows how but she'd managed to get covered in it. Managed to grab her with one hand as she was trying to room, and called the vets with the other - they advised a thorough bath and said I could take her in if I didn't think I could manage it myself, but the problem was I was in on my own so if I put her in the basket to take her there she was going to try to groom all the way there, and I would have no way of stopping her! By virtue of pinning her to the bottom of the bath I managed to get her soaped, rinsed, and soaped and rinsed again, until she smelt of shampoo rather than diesel! She's not had a bath since, and it's certainly not something I would want to repeat!
Sounds like you're doing well, with the plans for the wedding coming along well too - with the Tesco card make sure you pay off in full ahead of the date that the 0% rate would end and you should be fine. If in doubt about an exact date take the 1st of the month as your guide I suggest. I misjudged it and they charged me interest, but I rang and complained as I pointed out that they ought to have the exact date on the statement, and they refunded me.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Well done for bathing yours EH, mine wouldn't let me anywhere near him. I had to trap him in our bedroom in the end and just put him in the cat basket hoping for the bext. We ruined the bedroom carpet, a duvet set, a pillow, pair of my jeans and jumper I was wearing but it was worth it to see him alright at the end of it.
This morning I have been through my credit card statements from the beginning just to see how much was necessary spending and what could have been avoided.
I was slightly shocked to say the least that we had managed to spend £4300 on the credit card since Feb this year and only £600 of that was necessary wedding spends. Some of it was food shopping which was paid straight off but even it that amounted to £1k it's still a lot of surplus that could have been avoided.
There was a bed for DD, OH's car needed repairing and the vet bill but that didn't amount to more than £600. We also bought a PC etc etc.
I think I've brought positivies out of it though as it's proved to me that we could have saved more than enough for the wedding without too much trouble had we been more dedicated and not been out for as many meals, frittering money etc.
So my positivies for the future are that we can save emergency funds quite easily (fingers crossed) and then tackle all the house improvements, mortgage etc if we keep going the way we have been.
I#ve spent two hours this morning doing the food shopping and meal planning. Every meal next week (aside from one where I have bought pizza for dd1 as we're out for a meal) is going to be cooked from scratch and they're all new recipes to us, so hopefully we'll eat better and have more variety. I didn't spend any more than normal either, there's just no convenience food in for when I can't be bothered.0

It's been a busy weekend, yet vaguely productive in terms of money making. A few bits have sold on Ebay, and we have been to another wedding which meant more ideas and things we haven't thought of for ours.
I have started writing a list of things we need to get before the big day, so really trying to make as much extra income as poss now.0

I got a couple of ebay sales and listed a couple more bits yesterday too, although one is another iPod I'm selling on behalf of my Dad! ought to have done some more really but kind of ran out of steam....:o
As for the cat thing, I wouldn't dare try it now - she'd have your arm off!:eek:🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Does anyone remember at the beginning of the year when I started having trouble with my teeth and I got an abcess? Well today I finally had said tooth extracted! Only ten months later and failed root canal from a dentist who left the practice very suddenly a couple of months ago?!?!?
So my mouth is very sore right now as the numbing is wearing off but some paracetamol and an early night should cure that.
Down side of that is that it cost £45 which I could have done without. I learnt after when paying that I couldn't argue my point with a swollen mouth and whilst biting down on a gauze, so had to pay for it. I'm sort of convinced I shouldn't have to though after dodgy treatment, so maybe I'll write a letter.
I've made a few small ebay sales today which I've parcelled up before I feel too rotten later, and then I can veg on the sofa.0

Hope the tooth doesn't hurt too much! I remember when it all started, can't believe it took so long to get sorted.0

**waves** Hi Maria, long time no see. Hope you're well.
Yep just getting it sorted now (the tooth). It's super sore still (4 days later) but I know it'll heal. It's got to be better out and that's what I'm hanging onto.
MIL offered to pay for DD's bridesmaid dress last night and I said No! Was I mad? She has already given us money towards the wedding so don't want to be any more in debted to her.
I've ordered a swatch of the ties last night so hopefully if they're the right colour I can order them next week. I am about to get a new 0% card to tide me over when Tesco 0% comes to an end for any wedding (and wedding only) purchases until the money drips through to pay for it.0
