Seems that someone doesnt want to allow discussion on my original post openly, having now resorted to hiding it away in thread about paper billing charges.0

I'm not saying the the risk of TT going off and causing me hassle if I'm working from home was not one of the reasons for my doubling upAny posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as (financial) advice.0

You stated your opinion.thedogandboneman wrote:Having read on this site recently about.
Ongoing free? Broadband Debacle.
Attitude to the older customer.(Over 70)
New £1 a month charges for paper billing.
New hidden price increases from the 1/10/2006.
Recent £ 245,000 fine by the FSA.
I think they have lost the plot,i dont know about you.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -
True however loads of other posts about Talk Talk etc have been allowed to stand alone i notice. So my initial reaction was why pick on this one?
But i notice that the original title still stands and is linked to this one,so as you say people can still post either way on the subject.0 -

Well, a Board Guide has obviously made the decision to merge your new thread with an exisiting one on (partly) the same subject.
Sorry, I think you'll have to live with that - Guides have the authority and the software gives them the ability to do so without having to leave their own details.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. I don't see how having an itemised receipt of what you've spent should be chargeable!?
Imagine going into Tesco, and then the checkout lady asks if you like a receipt... and when you answer "Yes" she says "That's an extra £1 please!?"0 -

If I can get broadband for free on both, so much the better:j
Sounds an expensive way to get 'free' broadband. It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0 -
Where does it say about charging a pound for the billing. I looked at my last bill and there is blurb about online billing but I could not see anything about being charged for the bill. I am sure it will come as a shock for many who like me just check the price on the bill, throw all the rubbish they send away and file it somewhere.0

Why ?
I need 2 lines ... plus having got £80 in discounts from the PO for transferring my 2nd line to them, the net line rental is mininal this year on that line.
I get it "free" from talktalk - for having my line and an inclusive call package ( maybe not the cheapest way to make calls - but not bad overall )
I get it "free" from Sky ( as the TV package I'm on really stands up on its own anyway)
I'm under no delusion that these "free" packages are not free, but they are cost effective for me.
I understand you have had problems with certain providers in the past ... but that does not mean others can't take advantage of the deals , if it works for themAny posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as (financial) advice.0
