    At work?
    At a friends?
    At ... McDonalds? :P

Perhaps these companies are getting encouraged to be more environmentally friendly.

When this £1 fee is actually introduced then providing anyone can see in an advert that TT are claiming they are same price as BT for their linerental then this would be surely be classed as misleading unless there is a disclaimer pointing out that although TT's £11 will be based on online only billing and BT's wont be. Even then, I would have thought it would be an unfair comparison because as the ASA state you have to use the nearest directly comparable plan so for BT that would be the £11 paid by DD whether online billing is chosen or not obviously TT's would be £12 by DD where online billing isn't chosen.

Apologies if this has been already posted.

Got our monthly bill in from TalkTalk yesterday and there's a note saying that continuing to receive a paper bill will add £1 on to your monthly bill.

The option to receive paper bills can be changed on their website if you wish.

Unbelievable - whats their excuse - all in the name of the environment I suppose!! Being serious though its probably the way things will be in the future. However could cause problems with some companies when applying for products when they ask for 2 copies of 'original' statements
  • Having read on this site recently about.

    Ongoing free? Broadband Debacle.

Attitude to the older customer.(Over 70)

New £1 a month charges for paper billing.

New hidden price increases from the 1/10/2006.

Recent £ 245,000 fine by the FSA.

I think they have lost the plot,i dont know about you.

Erm, online billing doesn't cost £1, they charge you £1 for not using online billing.

Also my grandmother is with TalkTalk she's 80, and there always very pleasent to her.

Their customer service has improved recently, and my Free broadband is excellent.
  • Woops i meant paper not online suitably amended. Thanks for pointing it out.

I find it strange you say they are ok when they annoyed you and you personaly had to e-mail their CEO to get your broadband sorted. What sort sort of customer service is that? See

I quote posted by Xign "TalkTalk lost my MAC Code too, I was so annoyed i emailed Mr Dunstone, and my broadband is now being "activated" my slight conern is my mac code runs out on the 10th, so i hope that doesn't fail the change"

When i refer to their attitude to the older customer i recently read a couple of newspaper articles about them one can be read here:
