  • Looks like I've just sold the TV stand I put on Gumtree! Had an email from the guy who's interested asking if I could give it to him tonight. So that's £25 cash in hand, not bad considering I think I bought it for £35 about 4/5 years ago! It's barely used though so in a great condition. Meeting him at 6.

Will leave that £25 in my purse when I get it and transfer the £25 out of my account in to Target 1, that'll also be another £25 in to the make £5 a day challenge, although I won't update that board until I've got the cash in my hand. Total for that target is now £40.20/£200 :)

Also have withdrawn £2.50 cashback today so will add that when it tracks :p Have about £80 pending but it just takes so long to actually become payable! And as I said yesterday waiting on a £10 Tesco Voucher and £10 Paypal from surveys.

I always use any tesco vouchers towards christmas presents (as there's always something I can buy someone) so will transfer the £10 from surveys across to savings when it comes (although I don't transfer money for tesco clubcard vouchers).

    Today's Outgoings:
    £1.50 Work Lottery Syndicate

    Today's Incomings:
£25.00 Sale of TV Stand - will go to Target 1 when I get it
    VSP - £14.76 | Saving for a Deposit

I sold all my furniture on there 3 or 4 years ago - I was amazed when within a week I had sold a whole flats worth of furniture and got more than I thought I would for it too :)

  • So sold the TV stand last night, all went well.

Moved the £25 into Target 1, so total is now £1812.44 and my make £5 a day challenge total is £40.20/£200, should hopefully get to £2000 by end of July.

I have a SO set up for £50 on 1st of each month so there will be another £50 added tomorrow...although I won't let that stop me making £200 in July!

Have withdrawn another £1.83 from topcashback, not much but every little helps right? :p

    Today's outgoings:
    £2.00 Dog classes

    Today's incomings:
    £0.00

  • I think I'm going to start up my weekly allowance again for everyday spends such as dog classes and Zumba. It's so easy to just spend money left right and center!

I'll start from next week since we're on Thursday already!

    General weekly outgoings will be:
    £5.00 Zumba - 2 Classes per week
    £1.50 Work Lottery Syndicate
    £2.00 Dog Classes
    £2.00 Lottery Ticket

Total of 10.50, although last dog class tonight as it breaks for 6 weeks so this month will be £8.50 so can do an allowance of £10 per week. I'll withdraw £40 at some point over the weekend to last.

Any money left over will be added to my Christmas Bonus pot and as there is a function on in the Zumba hall next week there are no classes so that's £5 in the pot straight away! this way I'm putting money aside weekly too... :p

  • So, Friday 1st of July, that means standing orders/direct debits out of the bank and a VSP transfer!

£50 standing order to Target 1
£9.83 VSP payment to Target 1, new total now £216.24 :)

Target 1 total now sitting at £1872.27 :)

Currently waiting on the following payments:
    £2.50 topcashback withdrawal
    £1.83 topcashback withdrawal
£1.76 topcashback withdrawal - I would count them together but they are separate transactions so likely to hit the bank on different days!
    £10 PayPal payment from mysurvey
£10 tesco voucher from valued opinions
£30 from weeebuy, traded my old mobiles on there last night, they're collecting them on Monday so will probably be another week or two before that comes.

Today also means it's exactly 4 weeks until payday, getting paid last week was great at the time but now seems ages until the next one! I have about £400 disposable income to last the next 4 weeks, should be manageable, no birthdays this month.

Got my sisters hen night where I have booked some treatments at the health spa so I'll need £50 for that which includes our evening meal too so not too bad, it's a bring your own drink affair which will make it a lot cheaper!

Going to see Bridesmaids with my sister and her other bridesmaid tonight so that should be fun! Got an unlimited card for our local cinema so don't need to pay!

£23 in my purse so that should last me over the weekend hopefully.

    Today's outgoings:
£2 Euromillions ticket, bad I know but you've got to be in it to win it!
    £9.83 VSP to Target 1

    Today's incomings:
    £0.00

  • Monday again!

The £23 in my purse didn't last very long at all! Realised that since I have my final bridesmaid dress fitting on Thursday for the wedding that I will need to have the underwear I'm wearing so that the straps etc can be altered properly! So I ended up spending £17.50 on a matching set which is more than I would usually spend but I did buy a set I would wear again and it's a special day so wanted something nicer :o

Also had a gathering at my sister's on Saturday night while the men were on the stag do so spent £5 on a chinese and bought various bit for the hen party too.

Totally forgot to withdraw my £40 for the next 4 weeks weekly spends too :o

I had £3 left in my purse from the weekend so paid this weeks and next weeks work lottery syndicate since I'm on two half weeks this week and next (Thurs and Fri this week and Mon - Wed next week).

Also no Zumba this week and dog classes are on holiday so only have the usual lottery ticket to buy this week which I might give a miss. That leaves me all of this weeks £10 and because I've paid the work lottery I'll have £5 left next week which is really helpful since OH's aunt is going to cut and colour my hair tonight for £17 - £15 from weekly spends and have £2 in my purse! I'll make this budget stretch! :p

The phones I'm recycling just got collected by the courier so hopefully the £30 from them will be in my account soon.

2 cash back payments cleared this morning and also got 29p so that's all been transferred to Target 1 which now has a total of £1876.89 :)

    Today's outgoings:
    £3 Work Lottery
    £17 Hair cut and Colour

    Today's incomings:
£4.62 CashBack, now transferred to Target 1

Gosh that was a bit long wasn't it?! :rotfl:

  • Well I'm back after a week off work, hen night out the way, bank balance a bit lighter!

I've decided that I'm really going to keep track of ALL my spending from next month as I seem to forget about the little purchases and it's amazing how quickly they add up!

On another note, £5 a day challenge total is now at £85.76, free listing on eBay this weekend so will try to add some items to boost my total!

Target 1 is nearly there for £2000 by end of July, however that isn't really a true figure as my Mum's car broke down and she couldn't afford to pay to fix it with my sister's wedding in 3 weeks time so I've leant her £270. Didn't want to change the total though as I know I'll get it back as soon as she's got it!

Really need to start topping up Target 2, we have another £100 to pay next weekend so need to get a shift on! I'm keeping track of everything I've paid out in my total as well so that I know how much I've got in total...might reassess that at some point though as I'll need to pay out for park tickets etc.
