  • Payday today :D Only bad thing is it is now a 5 week month until the next payday :o

I had a whole £10.52 left in my account before my wages went in :o so have put that as my VSP today and in to Target 1. I originally set a target of £300 for the year for my VSP so I don't think I'll have any problem making that since my total is now £206.41.

I've also moved £100 into Target 2, thought I'd better do it while I have money! :p

Also paid the deposit for our Christmas night out :p We booked it last week since when we phoned in September last year to book we got told we were all too late and everything was full!

    Today's outgoings:
    £10.52 VSP to Target 1
    £100 Savings to Target 2
    £10 Christmas Deposit
    £2 Euromillions ticket - £105m tonight

    Today's incomings:
    £0.00

Good job I made half of today's £5 challenge yesterday :rotfl:

  • Quite an uneventful weekend really, tried to refrain from going out much so that I didn't spend much money!

    Saturday's outgoings:
    £10.00 Takeaway

    Sunday's outgoings:
    £73.72 Big Tesco Shop
    £30.00 Petrol

    Today's outgoings:
£0.00 Hoping to keep it a NSD

    Today's incomings:
£3.00 Pinecone Survey - added to Target 1

The £3 incomings now takes my make £5 a day challenge total to £15.20/£200. Going to recycle some old phones and put a couple of things on Gumtree/eBay tonight...been saying that for a few days but might actually get round to it! :p

I also joined the Pay Yourself a Christmas Bonus challenge, I'm aiming for £250 by my December pay, not sure what to spend on yet, might just add it to savings, who knows!

Oh and this is the longest Monday in history! :rotfl:

Wish I could spot one of the Pinecone banners - they're supposed to be one of the best survey sites!

  • That was my first survey for them, got paid in Luncheon Vouchers but hoping to switch to PayPal. I joined last week, there was a link on the up your income board, keep an eye out there...

I also joined crowdology today, first survey got me £1.12 and you only need to reach £4 to withdraw to PayPal... :)

  • So yesterday stayed a NSD - for me anyway, OH bought us a new hoover, a dyson to be precise! We've bought several crappy hoovers from various places and they just weren't doing anything for us.

Luckily they had a deal on that gave you £80 discount when you traded in your old hoover, ours cost £39.99 new! :p Plus MIL's had broken so we gave her our working one and took her old broken, no plug, no attachments one in to trade, the woman said it was one of the better condition ones :rotfl:

I've started my Christmas shopping :o Should really stay away from the grabbit board!

Bought £19.80 worth of stuff from Body Shop, a couple of things for me and a couple of gifts, should have cost £79.50 full price and will have approximately £2.40 cash back coming too...

Then saw an offer for Marley and Me on DVD for £1.95 delivered from The Hut :o Have been saying to OH for ages that I was going to buy it as I loved it when we saw it at the cinema. I also bought another 2 copies to go in the present stash, one probably for my mum and the other maybe for my sister or OH's sister. £5.85 spent and 6% cashback (about 35p :p) to follow!

    Today's outgoings:
    £19.80 Body Shop Purchase
    £5.85 The Hut Purchase
    £2.50 Zumba
    £2.00 Euromillions ticket

    Today's incomings:
    £0.00

Listed my glass tv stand on Gumtree last night and have had one email asking it's dimensions (not sure why I didn't put that on the ad) so hopefully that will sell soon.

Also just redeemed my VO points for a £10 Tesco voucher and waiting on £10 coming from mysurvey...

  • Damn that grabbit board!

Just spent £47.99 buying some new clothes at New Look, but got 12.12% cashback pending so that's about £5.80 :o

I actually got quite a lot for my money, 2 pairs of jeans, 1 pair of earrings, 1 set of bangles and 6 tops - 3 of which are for wearing to work as I desperately needed new work gear, feel like I'm wearing the same stuff all the time. Total cost should have been £109.91 so I made good use of the sales and that's my excuse!

Please don't shout at me! :o

  • Thanks Woo, I'm quite obviously just trying to justify my spending!

Although saying that it's been ages since I've bought stuff for myself and I started my Christmas Shopping today so that's my reward! :p

Plus like you say it's my money so up to me how I spend it, just need to watch though as it's a 5 week month and 4 weeks on Friday until I get paid again!

That's enough spends for the time being I think! Don't want to be spending the last two weeks of the month scraping by...

I watched Marley & Me on the way back from Cuba and spent about an hour trying to swallow back tears!

I used to frequent the grabbit board a lot, especially just before Xmas but I am trying to stay away these days :rotfl:. I wish I had more time for surveys but I found they were taking ages for so little that I couldn't do that and the pub.

Once my last £4 has come through from Quidco I don't even have anything pending, that shows how much I buy! Targets are moving up nicely hun, you must be really pleased!

Very happily married on 10th April 2013 :D

  • Yeah we went to see Marley and Me at the cinema, me and OH were both trying to hold back the tears all the way home! I told him I ordered it last night and his response was 'well I'm not watching it with you' :rotfl:

Yes I am pleased with it, if I can get Target 1 up to £2000 by the end of July I'd be really happy as it gives me a bit more breathing space!

Will need to start upping Target 2 as well, I think though because my goal for Target 1 is sooner I'm focussing on that just now...

Must get on with my make £5 a day challenge!
