  • Thanks for stopping by MustStopSpending :)

Do you have a diary then? I like to stop by people's diaries if they've took the time to look at mine.

Like I mentioned at the start of my diary, I feel a bit awkward being here since my debt is quite small, and also undecided as to whether the debt should be paid really quickly before saving.

I think I have decided though, since for the first time I am choosing to use my savings to pay my car insurance in full, the £50 a month I usually put towards my insurance can be used for debt (or maybe a little towards savings too :p)

Thanks for the compliments on the pup, we get quite a few comments when we are out with her as she is an unusual colour for a german shepherd.

  • Thanks for joining my diary!

We have £400 savings and I'm not going to use them for debt, if anything happend to the car we'd end up having to put it on the credit card instead which defies the point for me. It's nice to have a small back up fund for peace of mind.
  • Just been on the phone to the vets and they said the op went well and that she is recovering nicely, finishing work at 4 so can pick her up as soon as I've finished :D

Hopefully she won't be too sore and will still be talking to us! :p

huh i'm dumped... i feel all gutted now lol ... glad to h ear the dog is doing good ... she is a lovely dog
  • Hi elantan, your not dumped (didn't mean to offend!) just I had another person read my diary and it was such a shock! :rotfl:

Do you have a diary? Is it one of those super long, really popular ones? I feel like the new kid at school that hasn't made many friends yet :rotfl:

My OH is hoping that she has to wear one of those lampshade things to stop her getting at her stitches - he wants to have photos of it to add to her album, by the way he has an odd sense of humour! :p

He also says that she will still be talking to him, and since it was me who dropped her off this morning it will be me that she doesn't like anymore :( he's probably right!

    Hi Pennies!

Only just realised you had a diary, sorry I haven't popped over before!

That is a lovely puppy you have there, gorgeous indeed :D. Good for you on getting some money saved, I always think it's a good idea to have a 'buffer' even if you are in some sort of debt. Could you split any savings 50/50 between the student loan and a savings account? Just a thought ;)

Hope the op went well and your pup is at home recovering with you x

Very happily married on 10th April 2013 :D

  • Thanks for stopping by JTR, Elantan I've written on your diary :)

Well pup came home last night, she was really groggy but still talking to me at least :D She's feeling very sorry for herself and OH is awfully put out that she didn't get one of those lampshades to wear :rotfl:

I feel like things have been put in to perspective a little bit lately. Where I live there have been 4 men (aged 17-22) have all committed suicide in the last 10 days. One of the boys was found in the park where I walk the dog (just 5 mins from our house) on Saturday. It just makes you realise that you need to enjoy your life and make the most of it as you only live once, this is not a rehearsal, it's the real thing.

I have a busy busy week this week.

Last night after collecting the pup we were informed that OH little sister had a dance show on (I will refer to them as SIL and MIL although they are not in-laws yet, but hopefully will be one day!). So we went to her show last night which went on for 3 hours!

Tonight I have a quiz night to go to, tickets are £4.50 a head  but it is a charity quiz night so I really shouldn't begrudge it. I will also need money for raffle tickets, although the raffle they do always has fab prizes like hairdressing vouchers, food vouchers etc.

Tomorrow is back to aqua fit (or aqua-fat as we call it now! :rotfl:) That will be FREE though as we paid the membership last week.

Thursday is puppy class, she might not be up to much but it is the last week before the summer break and she will be getting her certificate and rosette for completing Kennel Club Puppy Standard Training. They need us to pay £1 for the rosette, and shout at me if you like, put I WILL be paying that as I need the rosette for her box of bits. Sad I know :rotfl:

Anyway, enough ramblings for now, hope everyone is having a nice day.

  • Well I have just found out my balance from the Student Loans people, apparently my balance is £1096.43 which isn't too bad.

I have already paid £64 of it, so I'm only 5% of the way there, but it's a start.

I think I will set up a direct debit where I maybe pay £20-£25 extra off it a month (this will be in place of the car insurance payments).

Does anyone agree that this is what I should do? Or are there any other ideas? Help/advice is very much appreciated :)
