i would love to have my account at £0, i seem to live in my overdraft at the moment.December 2018: £20,850.24. Now: £18,333.02 Total paid in 2019: £2517.22

I'm only out the overdraft as I consolidated into a loan.
The debt is still the same but it made me feel so much better to tidy up my finances into one place and the interest rate is better too.
Think it's only a psychological thing but it just feels so much better to log into my bank and not always be looking at a minus figure!Debt at LBM Apr 2010 £28,767 Debt free as of Nov 2013 :j0 -
Hi Rags, long time no see (in the virtual sense!).
I think I am just in a bad head space at the moment, what with this DFD countdown of 160 days (which should make me happy) I think I am letting the stress of clearing it get to me, that with the threat of no job for OH...
Also because he has no debts he can be no help whatsoever when I like to have a good moan about debts, that's why I stalk you lovely ladies! :rotfl:VSP - £14.76 | Saving for a Deposit0 -

People without debt don't get it do they Pennies!
When I asked my OH last night if he would get a 0% Virgin card for me he said no, followed by 'I don't want to make it too easy for you to get out of debt do I, you might just do it again'. Yeah cos the last 15 months have been a ball!LBM Aug 09: £18,650.47 - Current: £12,854.93 (£5946.79)

Hi Pennies!
Sounds like you very busy whilst I was away, well done on the new loan balance :T. Don't get stressed with the deadline for clearing it, my original countdown was to have all mine paid by xmas but due to unforseen circumstances that is now very unlikely so it might be Feb....the whole point is that we are still making a big effort and when we are debt free we will be able to look back with pride and know that we made it happen, overcoming the obstacles in our way.
How did your OH feel his exam went?

Hi Jody, I haven't been doing much, just fretting mostly!
OH thinks he did ok, needs to wait 3 weeks for the results though, think the waiting part is the worst thing!
It's a funny situation because if he fails his work pays for a resit and he still has a job until new year, if he passes he could be jobless in 3 weeks!
Managed to complete a survey for 600 points on lightspeed which took me up to another £10 payout to paypal, just waiting on that transferring into paypal and then in to my account and it will go against the loan. I think lightspeed seems to be the best for regular surveys and it's great that you can just get the money in your paypal account or choose a voucher.VSP - £14.76 | Saving for a Deposit0 -
WHata horrible situation for him to be in! Doesn't make much sense really does it? I hate waiting for exam results, mine taken about 8 weeks to be marked and if you do fail, by the time you know about it, you have forgotten what you were supposed to know in the first place!
I gave up with Lightspeed a little while ago, I find their surveys really long and all the ones I got were like 15 minutes for 50p and it was taking ages to get up to a payout. I personally get more results on Valued Opinions but I guess we just have to find what works for us
