I've got a just turned 8 year old about to enter P3 and he hates school. I spend about 3 months of the last school year dragging him in (as in house to cab and then cab to school), and he gets special and mainstream education and all the support he needs, and the school bend over backwards to accommodate his needs.
(He'll be a scientist when he's older, knows everything about the solar system already
)
Getting him diagnosed tues, autism/aspergers.Payment a day challenge: £236.69

They can claim ESA at 16; but parents will lose their CB / CTC.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

well as the op of this thread thought i would give an update
just called the DLA to check they recieved the g24 i sent an to ask what the next step is
they said it will go to another descision maker an they will decide if the descision still stands or it goes to tribunral this process takes around 10 weeks so i guess im in the "waiting for the big brown envolope club" now
i also asked for a photo copy of every thing they had and how last time they reached the descision they did was told they only keep documents for 14 months so they will send what they can0 -

They do this anyway. I didn't ask for this and did get everything that they'd received from me, a GP who I've met once and their "medical servces".Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

tbh i really wish gcses were done at 18 your to hormonal wreck at 16 and lack of maturaty was a major issue in my school , and to work and not be payed the same as another person older really annoyed me too
My son has done his first GCSE exam this year age 14 and he will be taking more next year to leave him free to consentrate on his diploma in his last year at school.
I wasnt a hormonal wreck at 16 nor are many other people and I while I took my O levels a year a year early my friends did them in the normal time frame and we all did very well.
Maturity arrives at diffrent times for diffrent people and many never get it at all, I had to shoulder adult responsibilities at 12-13 which made me mature younger than most, just because your school was full of imature, hormanal kids dont mean that all school do.
I disagree with paying pupils to study post 16, if your hearts not in it you are just wasting time and disrupting people who are there to get to the level thats expected for there chosen employment/uni course.0 -

I don't ever remember having to pay for paper (although college did provie me with coloured paper; as it's more expensive than white) or folders at school.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked
