  • well payday has been and gone. :( transferred £100 to the debt fund. just need to make the monthly payment to tesc0 and wait for the rest to come out.

sent the hubby shopping this week and he did really well. came in under £40. didnt really need much this week.

not much else to report. This moneysaving/debt slaying is making me boring!!! Just a case of waiting for paydays now and trying to keep our heads above water.

Hi rags, congratulations on getting married -i've not been on here for a while- but ive started a new diary to get motivated again - hope your well x
  • I come with good news today!!! unfortunatly its not a lottery win but the MIL has moved out into her own flat!!!! :D

Have sorted the kids rooms out so they now have their own, but found all of ds2's baby toys and hundreds of xmas cards i had stashed. Trying to sell the toys but not doing so well. Got loads of cd's and dvd's as well so feel we may have to do another car boot.

Have been a bit naughty......................:o we have bought a new sofa. Well i say bought. We put £400 cash down as a deposit but the rest is on 0% finance.:o:o:o Gonna try and sell our current ones as they are leather so still in good nic. But so far its the only thing we have put on credit whilst we upgrade our living room. The rest we have saved or saving for.

Went to mr a's yesterday and did a bit of stocking up in the savers aisle. Got loo roll, washing powder, cat food and biscuits and washing up liquid. Should last us at least a month if not a bit longer. Now its just the 4 of us my shopping bill should reduce as dont need to buy two packs of stuff and can get back into meal planning.

The hubby has done some over time today so will get £80 cash. £40 of its taken for the car mot.

Cant believe its nearly sept already. My childcare bill is gonna reduce so much next month. Have got all their uniforms sorted, just need to iron on their name tags (saved from last year) and just need to get their lunch boxes.

That must be such a relief for you, even if only for the food budget...
I want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?
  • wow, hadnt meant to leave it so long since my last post! oooopppsss.

Well i have still been trying to add to the debt pot and the house pot. Living room almost there, just saving for the minor details and a carpet now.

Also we have gained a german shepard puppy:o The hubby has always wanted a dog and this one was the last of her litter and no one wanted her as she seemed so docile, content to just watch the world go by. Now it seems she has learnt to play and waits for the boys to come home from school to play with her.

I have been promoted at work, no details on payrise or job description yet but it means office hours, no weekends, bank holidays or xmas! :D
Childcare also reduced right down now both boys are in school, just £39 a week in term time!! The sister in law has said she will help out in the holidays again to keep the bill down.

Have been a little naughty though and added to the credit card, but it is for the hubby's 30th and prob our last extravagance as next year we will buckle down and shift the credit card debts once and for all. This year has been a bit of a non starter with the wedding and decorating. Has been nice to take time out, refocus ready to start again!

I forgot to say WOO-HOO about your promotion, and for the better hours even if there is no extra pennies yet!!
