I just did another AF order! Bad PipsMum!!!! I have absolutely NO CLUE where I am going to put all this lot but at least I know I will be well stocked up for when Pea arrives.
As long as you can keep track of your 0% then it sounds like a good plan, they would never let me have one though so fingers crossed you can make it work.Debt at LBM [strike]£17,544[/strike] £5700:TOver £14,000 PAID OFF :T

Well, i have managed to find my voice again, but it turns into a whisper if i try and shout!! Kids and the hubby thinks its very funny!
Have managed to log on now to the tesc0 online banking. Had forgotten about an extra cost that went on the card but its not too much from what i guestimated which is good.
I cant believe its nearly august already!!! but at least its getting closer to another payday so i can put more to the debt fund!! Keep toying with the payment a day thing, i love to see round numbers. Might start it on monday. Those who do it do you transfer pennies to round the number or pounds too and round it to the nearest 5/10????December 2018: £20,850.24. Now: £18,333.02 Total paid in 2019: £2517.22

Ive not done PAD for a little while but when I did I rounded to whole pound when there was a random amount and then just knocked it down £1-£2 when it was an even, unless it was nearer to payday then I would take it down to the next £10 IYSWIM?? It soon goes down and really its no different to buying a paper and a coffee money wise but more effective!Debt at LBM [strike]£17,544[/strike] £5700:TOver £14,000 PAID OFF :T

Your way sounds a good way pipsmum, gonna start doing it i think, pennies make pounds after all!!! They will wing themselves to the tesc0 card!! Would love to see the faces of the people that have to process the payments! :rotfl:
Been to my training session again today, it really is true that it releases happy hormones so happy to spend that. The hubby gets his £20 a week for extras and i have that every fortnight. Fair in my eyes. Anyway, she has given me a bit of a food plan (i have a bad attitude to food which i thought i had got over but after doing a food diary i clearly havent) so i am eating enough calories in a day (according to my food diary some days i was surviving on 700 calories for the day:eek:) and it is proper food, not processed stuff which should help in the food buying. Kids will eat the same as if its gonna make me healthier then why not!! Hopefully it will give us tons of energy so we can start going out more and doing free stuff like walking. We keep talking about it but never put it into action. Kids love being outside and i always feel refreshed after doing activities outside. Looking into getting us all waterproofs so the wet stuff (which is always present here) wont stop us getting out and about.
Nothing much to add money wise. Have been accepted for the switch on my gas and leccy so hopefully have £70 in about 3 months. Also looking into claiming some ppi back.December 2018: £20,850.24. Now: £18,333.02 Total paid in 2019: £2517.22

Hello, my name is rags and i have just worked out i have no idea how to make a jacket potato!!!!:rotfl: How on earth i have managed this long without working it out?!?!?!!?
Get my car back tomorrow!:D But it will cost me £590so £240 winging its way out the debt fund. But just shows that way works as otherwise i would be saying hello to the overdraft again and getting no where fast like the last 4 years!
Managed to get the boys winter coats over the weekend. Got them from a good mountain/walking shop at half price! Did this last year and they lasted so much longer than others i have bought, and these are totally waterproof and have a fleece lining to keep them warm. Also managed to get some new work shows cheaper and the hubby got 8 new work tops for £20. And i had enough and more in the clothes fund to cover the lot so bank balance still intact. Just need to get the boys their airtex's (sp?), school pants and schoool shoes but will have enough again next month to cover that. Then will need to get ds1 some new clothes as the boy has decided to grow out of his 7-8 stuff. Luckily ds2 is fine for clothes as kept ds1's old stuff.
right, off to see what pennies i can pay today and to see how you make a blumming jacket potato!!December 2018: £20,850.24. Now: £18,333.02 Total paid in 2019: £2517.22

If you like crunchy skins I got this tip from Delia
Wash and dry the potatoes and the !!!!! the skins.
Then get some olive oil and thinly grease the potatoe skins.
Cook in the oven at 190C for 2 hours and presto crunchy skinned potatoes.
Nice to be able to pay for things out of pots rather than credit well done
chevI want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

Glad cars coming back booooo to it costing you money. Well done on the boys coats, I need to get Pip a new winter one as he will insist on keep growing!
Agree with Chev about the olive oil, we cheat though and nuke the potatoe for about 8 mins first so it part cooks then pop it in oven to crisp up.Debt at LBM [strike]£17,544[/strike] £5700:TOver £14,000 PAID OFF :T

Theres nothing like adding up total monthly spends to pop the "havent we done well" bubble!!!!!
We have spent so much this month, granted some were unforseen like the blumming vets bill, but we went way over the food budget (pratically doubled it infact:o) and the phones were high (i expected this due to ringing the boys when we were on our honeymoon) the hubby seems to have sneaked into his garage habit once again and £190 went out altogether as cash withdrawls!
I give up. Next months budget is looking tight due to the cost of childcare through the holidays and ds2's birthday and the mortgage starts again (ooh tomorrow infact)

Given my head a massive wobble and feeling better. Yes we did absolutly pants at sticking to the budget for july, but at least i can see we did and can see where! Yes august will be tight, but everything will be paid, it will just seem tight as not a lot of scope for adding to the debt fund. no biggie for one month and will just have to see if i can add to it in other ways ie selling, saving money in the budget etc. And there is always the rent the mil gives us. I tend to save this for rainy days (like having to suddenly pay car insurance excess when the car misbahaves!!) but can add to the debt fund with some of that.
Its one month in the grand scheme of things, and rome wasnt built in one day! I need to remember that.
My main plan is to stop spending! simple. Its all the £10 here and there that you dont thing about but soon add up. Thjought i was doing well with the food budget, and i was with the weekly shop, but forgot about the mini shops for stuff that go inbetween. These will stop. Gonna look on here for cheap lunchbox ideas, gonna try and start baking again for the boys so they have some yummy treats in there. They dont seem to eat the fruit in their boxes most of the time so will try and figure out a way of sneaking it in. Possibly in cakes and slices............................................. Think they may be more veg lovers as will happily eat slices of cucumber/tomato etc. tend to put them in the boxes instead.
right, positive head on!December 2018: £20,850.24. Now: £18,333.02 Total paid in 2019: £2517.22
