Strider590, I dont think you read my post the way i intended, "If you stopped in bed" You wouldnt have needed to overtake because you would be in bed...
So in that case it was not necessary:rotfl:
Stop in bed more often, I know the road well. OAP's seem to drive around in circles at 30mph to slow the traffic down. It felt that way to me.
With a 0-60 time of NEVER in my HGV i rarely got to overtake.
Seen some near misses because impatient drivers thought i was causing the tailback only to find another car in front of my dawdling along.
Anyway, got a link or name for that camera?
PS.. stop in bed more often. lol.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
There's a guy in the next street to me who keeps parking his Golf on the junction at the exit of the street where I live on to the street where he lives.
Every time I leave my street I have to do it on the wrong side of the road with poor visability. Sooner or later there will be a bump down to him being to lazy to use his garage for a car he hardly ever drives.
When he has a few dents and scratches from a HGV, bin lorry or other large vehicle going pass I think he will change his attitude.I'm not cynical I'm realistic
(If a link I give opens pop ups I won't know I don't use windows)0 -
I'd like to congratulate Lum and Strider590 for actually doing something about the driving they see every day instead of just ranting about it or being a complete idiot like the tailgating obstructive Focus driver in Strider590's video. Strider590 was absolutely correct in saying that he was allowed to overtake there, the stripes inside the broken lines mean something vague like 'only enter if it is safe to do so'.
There's a lot of interest in your setup if you'd kindly provide a link?
As for parking near a junction, without seeing it, it's difficult to say, and just because you can't see that it causes an obstruction, doesn't mean your neighbour down the street doesn't see it when his oil delivery turns up and can't get past. You sound like you have the attitude of throwing the book back at your neighbour because your friends on the internet say he's wrong. Rather, you might want to simply point out that you have nowhere else to park, and that you're happy to move it anytime for anyone if it ever does get in the way.0 -

There are no oil deliveries in my area and as it is a straight road there is no visual or actual obstructions. It doesn't cause an obstruction as I have already stated, the bin men get up and down the street, the gritters got up and down the street. As I have mentioned before the junction is in a strange place and divides the street rather than indicating that one street has ended and another has begun.
I haven't put a link on here as I don't want my address to be public on a forum. If you know how to save from google maps and edit it to remove street names please let me know. You sound like you have the attitude of throwing the book back at your neighbour because your friends on the internet say he's wrong. I have never mentioned anything to the neighbour after he initially raised it with me and don't intend to unless he raises it again. I asked on here as I wanted to know whether he was correct. If you always do what you have always done, you will always get what you always got!0
