I used to have one of those retractable clothes lines, I could hook it onto the shed when I needed extra drying space after holidays etc.

Hubby also put me up a high line the length of the garden, so much better than a rotary. I then got him to double it, with the retractable one as well on a sunny day my garden looked like I was taking in washing for the street. I had a rotary as well just in case:rotfl:

I have an urge to wash everthing in sight as soon as the sun comes out, just hate the ironing bit afterwards. We have now moved and he won't let me have another one :( so back to a rotary.

We have an Aga which is great for drying the clothes in winter. In summer its the clothes line but any scabby knickers/bras I would never hang outside:o Tend to try and hide them in the airing cupboard and remember to take them out if we have visitors.

Ah, that's the advantage of a rotary - you can hang these on the inside lines and hang other stuff outside them to hide them. I use those cheap peg rings from pound shops, so if there are really, really scabby things, I can even hide them on the inner portions of the rings.

We have the 2 rung airers that hook onto your rads here, got em cheap in argos clearout at new year. They work a treat but only in winter mind! I also have an outside line which is full every day. At the moment its a bit hit and miss with the weather so I sometimes peg things onto the rad airers, even without them turned on stuff is dry in 2 days. We also have 2 heated towel rails in the bathrooms which I find annoying as they dont have a thermostat on and the get REALLY REALLY hot!! They are great for drying things on though and I imagine I will be using them daily in the winter.
