Congratulations on new baby girl, I'm sure all will be well. In fact 'All Will Be Well' is a great saying from Mother Julian of Norwich that I often fall back on. In full it is

All will be well and all will be well and all manner of things will be well.

It's like a mantra of strength, it gathers pace.
Walking into town to shop cheaply today I passed a funeral. It was an old glass carriage drawn by 2 beautiful black horses with tall black feather plumes atop their heads. It must have been a very expensive send off, but what style.

Here's an interesting fact. Earth travels at around 1000mph. So no one anywhere is ever standing still.

    Evening all

    (((hugs))) to those in need.

I was on my training course today, as it was a catch up session it was with some new people so it was interesting. It was a new venue (local to me for a change!) and the lunch was yummy :D

I then had dinner with the girls after work, went to La Tasca and used the 50% off voucher.

    Have a good night all

evening, its the first chance ive had to postthe evenings are a bit chaotic at the moment.
Fairly good day cos work was fine and the sun shone all day here.
Then the chaos started rush home to get DD3 then drive back to Chi to meet DD2 at leisure centre( she plays trumpet in a jazz band after school) then a longggggg wait for the two of them to get showered. lol. Home finally at 18.30.
HM soup for supper Pea and ham ( stock from gammon at weekend) and veg for DD2 however all girls wanted the veg soup so none left to freeze!! Dh finished off all pea soup. My focachia ( spell check) bread didnt rise so well cos I rushed it. Should have made it yesterday night. Next time.
In between I combed DD3 for the beasties aaaargh. WM on cos my work trousers needed a wash ( something very nasty on leg today) Garden watered, veg patch weeded everything doing fine, DD1 decided to make shortbread for school tomorow and now its dark and time for bed!!!!!!!!
So good night and sleep tight
    big hugs
    xx

    Went shopping with Dds yesterday.

Exchanged dresses at M and S for one I loved and a smart pair of dressy sandals.

Now all kitted out for DDs graduation on Thursday.

Went to look at Bravissimo and got fitted properly- seems I am not a 40 DD or a 38D - but a 36F!!!!

Fitter admired my bag so I told her about the half price perfumes website where I got it.

Seems if your bra is ill fitting lots of weight goes to your shoulders and neck and makes you slouch so I feel much more comfortable now.

Got clothes for DD for sixth form in September so she seems pleased with them.

Made baked salmon, new potatoes , cabbage and leeks for tea and have some fish left for tomorrow.

Hoping the house sale will go through- we offered over a week ago and would love to be moved by end of August.

I would like to be moved even sooner - by my birthday- on the 13th of August but that might be a bit optimistic.

Have you tried soaking cushion with light spray of white vinegar?

    Hugs to all

All my plans went west today I saw DGD and dropped her at College then decided I would pick up DD as Argos had great reductions in their furniture sales today and I wanted another bookcase to match the one already in my computer room.So picked her up and we went to Savacentre to get it.I got a bargain as it had been reduced from £42.99 to £31.05 then I had £20.00 in nectar points off it so got it for £11.05.having made a saving I made the great error of seeing a nice pair of sandles for my holidays in Clarks .DD persuaded me to get them as she rightly said I don't buy sandles that often (last pair was about 5 years ago.So splashed out and bought them, all £52.99 of them so they will have to last me at least another 5 years before I buy anymore. But as Tess rightly said in this country we don't have many weeks of sunshine to wear them out.She bought me lunch which was lovely of her (still shocked that I paid over £50 quid for said sandles ) so need hot strong coffee to recouperate. We had a lovely couple of hours wandering the shops and eventually got home around 2.30. so by then it was far too hot to do any painting so its been put off until tomorrow .but I still think I had a productive ,if expensive day. There's always tomorrow though, only 37 more days till our holidays and i'm really looking forward to it.
DGD has had a good birthday with lots of presents and a new boyfriend which cheered her up no end.She has gone off to see Shrek in 3D with her parents as a treat, bet next year she will want a posh party with all the trimmings, so Mum & Dad have had it easy this year.Well I'm off to read my val mc dermid book from the library Night all God Bless

I paid the same for sandals in Clarks a couple of weeks ago and felt quite guilty.

But -I can walk in them - even if my feet have swollen in the heat - and I am not in pain.

So that makes them a good buy on my opinion.
