Hi there! This is the Old Style Daily Thread for Mon 6th July. It is an 'Over the garden fence' type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier![*]As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or slow internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred.[*]When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new Daily Thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two Dailys' live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new Daily Thread after they get up in the morning.[*]Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “Hi everyone, hope you are all well” type start is just as good.[/COLOR

Morning

Blue sky and sunny day ahead. Nothing much going on down this way.
Took the dog for a walk along the cliff path last night and then stopped in to Tesco for a quick £5 meal or something. £25 more like! You pick up reduced stuff and more bread and milk and then a some cider or a drink...... Blows the budget a bit.

Son returns from his trip to Miami today, should be landing some time soon...

Work today, then maybe take the boat out later... Have a nice day.

Time for coffee

Good Morning all, another lovely sunny day ahead today.I have to pick my DGD Holly up this morning as its her end of term college meeting with her head of year.hope she has done o.k. Its also her birthday today she is 17 (going on 45 :)) and she will be excited as she will be starting her driving lessons shortly (God preserve us ,she is a bit scatty)Then its back home via the library to drop off a book .Mostly paperwork to be sorted today I think.Definitely no shopping at all as I am trying to use up a bit more in the freezer this week.If its not too hot I may mask up the hall mirror with some tape as I want to sand it down and undercoat it and top coat it in a nice nautical blue.Fingers crossed that the electric sander doesn't crack the mirror.:) I hope everyone has a good day what ever you all get up to.
    Take care all

    Morning all,

Beautiful day here again, loving this weather, seems like a long time since we had a good summer.

I am off this morning to have a look at wallpaper with my mum, I need some for three rooms, and there is a sale on, so will go and have a nosy, I also have some banking to do, and I need some eggs.

I am very pleased with myself I have lost 8 lb :j, I was a bit despondent yesterday, as I thought I had come to a standstill, but this has given me a boost :D

I have a chicken to cook for tonight, not sure what we will have with it, might do the others a jacket spud and salad, I will have a small salad with mine.

I made Butterflybrains jelly and cream pudding last night, it was delish, and a good pud if you wand something sweet while low carbing.

Had a good day yesterday, I got my at home job done, weeded the garden, hooverd and mopped the floors, cooked dinner and watered the garden, and did my shopping, busy day, but a bit less to do today.

Ok going to cook the chicken now while its cooler, have good days all xx

    Morning all

Sunny, dry and very warm here again. I've been MIA for a few days, seem to have been really busy and not had enough hours in the day! Had a good weekend except trying to organise all the extra bits for the new caravan, but we're sorted now.

Cooked a joint of beef last night and the boys and OH had a haircut so finished up eating dinner at 8.15pm, but beef was nice, and some left. DS2 has his end of term play tonight so will be another late dinner but just having egg and bacon etc. Work wasn't that busy yesterday and hopefully will be the same today!

Once we have collected new caravan and got the kit packed back in it I'll be able to tidy the house, feels like a right mess at the moment, camping stuff everywhere! I didn't realise how much stuff we had ....

I can't believe that the schools finish for Summer in 3 weeks, where has the year gone? My DS2 has 1 more year at Junior then he moves up to Senior school - that's scary!

Not much else to say really, keep safe and well everyone, hugs to those that need them.

Morning peeps and hello to anyone after!

hope you the wall paper you want redruby.
nmlc bet you can't wait to run away in the caravan

Everyone you have my sympathy with your teens, i only managed to get my 10 yr to sort his room out after i threatened no pc time. For a fortnight now its been clean.

Yesterday OH came back early so we decided to go for lunch with a couple of friends and there adorable toddler. In the end i saved us all a fortune as i managed to get four vouchers for FREE cheeseburgers + chips:money:. So had a pub lunch then limped all the way home.

Last night i was so tired though after fdoing the above, going to the bank that i eneded up crawling into bed at 6pm. Woke up to DS2 stroking my hair, cuddling me all while watching tv.

Today, not much planned other than sitting in the house doing some sewing. OH has gone to work, but he's planning on getting the leak pipes checked out.

To top it all, Buddy my cat has come in this morning limping and subdued, I've got to get him to the vet. Don't know what he's done.:(
