Went through an Asda self scan this afternoon and used 3 of the coupons from the current Asda magazine, got £7 of shopping for free and the machine even gave me 14p change 'cause I'd "overpayed" with vouchers. Supervisor did come over but didn't seem to understand/care what the machine had done.0

WELSH-DRAGON wrote:Went to Tescos today (for a change LOL) and picked up the Tesco magazine edition November/December.
There are some instructions on how to make fancy dress costumes for the children, complete with measurements and a list of materials. Also some good articles to read and mouth-watering receipes.
There are Two vouchers both Tesco specific
50p off a 1 litre carton of Sirco valid until 30/3/07
50p off any Birds eye roast dinner valid until 01/05/07
Hope that helps someone - Welshy xDebt free since December 2015. It can be done0 -
Karb wrote:I've picked up the same magazine. As these coupons are Tesco specific, is it still ok to use them at Tesco without purchasing the product?
No, you need to buy the product if the coupon is Tesco-specific.0 -

Yes and you'll probably get £4.50 off for each one. This is because it's a manufacurers coupon and not Asda specific. I put Asda coupons through as well yesterday in Tesco and it was ok but today the self scan supervisor spotted it, voided them off my shopping and gave me them back. Worth a try and just act dumb if they spot it.0 -
yes, the uniball coupon is one where you don't need to buy the product and it's okay to use in any store that will take it.
my tesco and asda self scan tills are strict on vouchers, they always ask for a supervisor. this might mean playing dumb and pretending you were only expecting a 50p discount. my tesco would only take one coupon and my asda would allow coupons up to ten percent of the shopping so i couldn't use the pen one in asda unless spending £45. but your area might have different rules. in my tesco it's easier to go to a checkout assistant because they might scan the voucher without noticing or caring that it's for a high amount.52% tight0 -
