  • Went to Tescos today (for a change LOL) and picked up the Tesco magazine edition November/December.

There are some instructions on how to make fancy dress costumes for the children, complete with measurements and a list of materials. Also some good articles to read and mouth-watering receipes.

There are Two vouchers both Tesco specific

50p off a 1 litre carton of Sirco valid until 30/3/07
50p off any Birds eye roast dinner valid until 01/05/07

Hope that helps someone - Welshy x

    Hello

Am I right in thinking that all these coupons have Sainsburys mentioned on them but sometimes they still get accepted. Just deciding whether it's worth me buying the magazine judging by the checkout assistants I have in my local stores!!!

    Princesskerry;)

no chance of my tesco or asda accepting them but perhaps they would work on a self scan. ours call for supervisors to check the voucher, but not until you try to pay so you've already put the voucher through the slot. if you only used one voucher per transaction and it didn't come to more than ten percent of the bill i suppose it would get through the self checkout.

my mag also had a junk flyer for limelite cleaner, the coupon says half price so i don't know how that works, and again it's sainsburys only.

That's the way, barcode side up, and don't give up if a cashier says 'no' at your first attempt. Keep them in your purse or pocket for next time. :o
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Have been working through some of the Asda coupons using Tesco self scan.

Was a bit worried when the machine beeped for 'assistance' when I used 2 x £4.50 coupons for about £15 of goods, but the assistant just came up and put in her ID code with out really looking. Phew! Only put 1 X £4.50 for the next transaction which still beeped and another assitant obliged.

Usually use the one with the belt rather than just the bags as the assistants usually pack the stuff as I scan and post the coupons. Really convenient and it keeps them busy.

Decided not to use my Clubcard as such a high percentage of the total was taken off. Does anyone know if this would be a problem as I would love to get the points aswell.

I wondered if the assistants aren't surprised at the £4.50 amounts being deducted on the screen because the Clubcard mailings are arriving now.

Has anyone used these £4.50 Uniball coupons with a live cashier? Didn't they spot it?

Thanks Coupon Mad, that was your earlier tip - Have to confess also to cutting them wonky so the Sainsbury's logo on the other side was practically no longer readable just in case they were turned over :o

Yep, I used one the other day. Always engage the cashier in conversation 'ooh, it's busy/quiet in here today, isn't the weather good/bad/indifferent' etc etc, and she didn't even notice when it scanned for £4.50. Used a couple of the other Asda ones too, which are also mis-scanning (what's going on with their barcodes??)

    Happy Days!!
