This may be the case, but me personally, I would not be happy making a claim if I had no MOT.
Now armed with new knowledge via the help from this forum, I will doubt you will not make a claim if you happen to come into the OP situation one day. It's all words on this forum, some are FACTS, others are opinions or wrong knowledge.

I'll hold my hands up and admit I was wrong. I firmly believed that no MoT = no insurance.
