I managed to get declined a basic account lol, might send them a copy of my card statments that are prime and a copy of my recent cheque books lol
They are very conservative - in my case my aplication went to a senior manager and my personal manager had to push it through as she knew me, and it was approved.0 -
I was tempted away from Lloyds to Alliance & Leicester. After a catelogue of errors, charges and hours on hold I went back to Lloyds with a huge sigh of relief.
My account runs smoothly, my ddms are paid and the staff are helpful. I needed a bankers draft lst week and the staff suggested that I used a cheaper way - I couldn't which is why I needed one but it was nice of the assistant to make an effort to save me £20.000 -
Best thing about Lloyds current a/c is if you use the Vantage option - 4% interest on £5-£7k! Brilliant! Where else could you get that for instant access?!0

I get 5% with Santander (??)I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂0 -

Does anyone else hate the new Lloyds online banking website? It was easy to use and functional, now I have to scroll up and down just to see the list of account balances. The items on the statement are listed in reverse order - most recent to oldest - which gives major problems if you export your data to a financial program without realising. It now looks like the cartoons in their TV ads, complete with over sized pig graphics. It also seems to have slowed down a lot and keeps saying webtrends in the taskbar every time it loads a page0

Isn't that only for twelve months after you open the account? And only up to £2,500?
Obviously, there's no guarantee that Lloyds will keep the Vantage interest rate as high as it is now - but at the moment it's not limited in time and pays out on higher balances (5k-7k).0
