hi
I am going to woburn safari park at the end of this month, I WAS going to take in a visit to gullivers also, but not after I read the previous posts.
So are there any other good days out in that area, I have two girls 5 & 8.
Thanks
Leighton Buzzard railway. Nice long train ride and children are given a good map with things to spot along the way. The cafe has very reasonable prices.

I took my DD when she was about 5 to Gullivers and she loved it.
I agree with others, food wasn't great. We also went in November so was there for a firework display which was really nice.Lightbulb moment Dec 2005 - debt £23700

we did Gullivers world last year, it was good but very busy, ride attendants were letting 1 person ride in a 4 seater roller coaster car thingy at a time hence big queues developing, Gullivers Kingdom @ matlock Bath was less busy and better run in my humble opinion0

we went to Gullivers at Milton Keynes at Xmas time when the kids were 5 and they loved it... yes agree it's a bit shabby compared to the Merlin theme parks for example but the kids loved it and didn't really noticed the faded paint work etc...for that age brackets at least they can do all the rides! I would stay well clear of Gullivers, Woburn is gorgeous (visit the small town too), but very expensive imho.Forever I will sail towards the horizon with you0

We have 5yr old twins and they love Gullivers. It has so many rides for them and when ever we have been there aren't the huge waiting as in many bigger parks. Yes, I would agree that it needs a lick of paint but so does Thorpe Park! (we went 3 weeks ago) That does not stop it from being a fun place for the kids. We have eaten in the burger place and found the food to be of standard as MD and Burger King.
That aside, we went to Woborn a few years ago and enjoyed that too. The drive around first was ok although had to point out clearly for the girls where the animals were! The walkaround part there are some more animals to see, indoor play area, swan lake ride and train ride. The restaurant was good too.
W.Safari will always be more expensive as it is a different type of day out.
Maybe you need to think if you want a fun ride day or a mixture of animals/things to do.
Both will be great if the weather is good! If you want to go to the splash park at Gullivers then that will cost you extra.
