  • Piggers 'Superb news that your payment cleared

have you spent it 25 times over yet?'

Well, he's hardly lifting a finger to help his children, is he? :)

DD2 has zebra print Converse now. A Dad in the shop was overheard saying to his son (about the same age as DD) 'Why don't you try the Converse - that girl over there looks really cool with them, and you can get dark ones?'. Son apparently agreed, as they were spotted with a box later on in another shop :)

And the compulsory school supplier's portion of her September uniform is now in the wardrobe...CBA with standing in there on 28th August with a million other parents to find that everything is out of stock.

    As for the rest...

Bass/Amp/hard case/leads/tuner - in progress (but can go for better grade of wood/pickups now)
Car/Insurance - maybe in September when everyone else is skint from the summer/five week month and lowers their price
    [STRIKE]Catalogue bill[/STRIKE] - cleared :D

[STRIKE]The Bloke - a belated birthday present due to not seeing him when DD1 was being particularly vile - £100 Technics car stereo.[/STRIKE] He was so excited - he's never had a decent car stereo before. He's never even had a brand new one before. :)

I have a wedding to go to next weekend (after going out on Friday night - pizza and over 25's nightclub. And a Day School for music. So Sunday will be spent sleeping [cough] and the bride shall be getting some Mothercare vouchers, as requested.

Other than that, I have a week long course at the beginning of August, then DD2 is away with her Dad for the following week as well. I am thinking that I can bribe my NN to feed the cats for a few more days so me & The Bloke can go off on a jolly to visit his brother in France when he finishes touring. He's just got his first gold disc, so he will be in a very good mood, too.

Oh, and DD2 may get an electronic drum kit at Christmas. Volume controls on drums - who would have thunk it 20 years ago?

So not quite spent 25 times over yet...but I'll get there in the end :D

jojo.. that is why I got DS2's uniform already.. I couldn't cope with standing in a boiling hot packed shop full of smelly teenagers and grumpy parents.. Then I had to buy him 2 jumpers from tesco.. last 2 they had :D.

DD1 had black patent converse and DD2 has denim blue ones.. though they both need the next size.. Oh.. DD2 has some with wild patterns of guitars on them.

I need to return some of DS3's for the bigger size and get him a couple more polo shirts and then I have shoes and trainers to get next!!

  • Just ordered school shirts, jumper and socks from M&S - 3% through Quidco, got free delivery at £3.50 and the 2 for the price of 3 took off another £11 (rather than the lowest value item of the 4, which was rather appreciated).

Just the shorts, Hockey socks, Hockey boots, a new coat, shoes, bag, hairbands and whatever else they decide to spring on us to go. :)

Aah, but very special plimsolls! I have all black boots and brown velvety, glittery boots :D Feel the need to buy some shoes now though :o

Evening! It's been sooooooooo hot here today.

valli - have a fab weekend; you must let me in on the secret of finding a lovely man ...... please!

sexymouse - please be careful in the sun. I'm a bit worried about you burning so often

I'm not sure where today has gone but I have done washing (which dried super-quick in the unbearable heat of my garden!); been shopping in town, collected 2 parcels, cleaned the kitchen, cleaned out 2 cages of little furries, sorted some paperwork, had a nap, watched the footie and read a magazine!

Some car alarm has been going off every now and again for the last few hours  It had better stop before I go to bed!

Hugs to all, especially Toots and L-L xx

Not if you get low tops...

ETA: If I had a closet filled with as many low tops as that first image has hi-tops, I would be very happy!
