Lynz, I'm at work so not got time to reply properly but wanted to echo what ZTD said
and give you lots and lots of hugs! Wish I were nearer so I could come and physically do something for you, including pulling you off the chair and shutting you in the bathroom for personal beautification!
Hang in there, it will get better I promise xxLeason learnt :beer:0 -
Im ok honest :)Im smiling
My bathroom is no place for beautification as it currently a) has got loads of glossy bits all over it despite not being painted yesterday b) has got the dining benches crammed in there as theres nowhere else to put them! ]
Will get this sorted today though and yes, a few hours of self love (ooh er) is well needed today. Maybe that might make me feel better, hope so.
Oh sod it, im getting my eyebrows waxed, after all that can come out of the money I havent wasted on fags over the last few days:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -

What job have you got Mrs M
I am 4 weeks and 4 days cigarette free and patched and inhalatored up to the eyeballs. You can buy them from the chemists but get it on prescription. Not sure that the Quitline give them away free. When I poned up for a bit of moan they signed me up for the club and I have been getting coins and certificates left right and centre. No mention of freebies!
To be honest, I clung to my plastic stick day in day out at the start, but now, I probably use it less than 5 times a day.
:heartpuls CG :heartpulsEver wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.0 -
Well done crawleygirl
Do you know how much an inhalator is? Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

Get it on prescription... I think the starter kit was about £20 but don't quote me. And the patches. Go and see the smoking nurse at your GPs. Do it the MSE way!

I have been and got the starter pack at 5.95. Had a drag of it, URGH. It made my mouth have a weird swelling feeling. I think i might leave it it really is unplesant. I can see why you dont bother!! Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

lynzpower wrote:ZTD, you are the wisest person on MSE i swear it.
No I'm not. I'd prove it, but some wag would say self-knowledge is wisdom, and then where would I be? :rolleyes:lynzpower wrote:I dont think it helped when i rang my dad to ask his advice and he just went oh youve obviously put too much paint on youll never salvage it  cheers pop, youve made me feel a real sucess!! :rotfl:
You can try to rub it down, until it is smooth (you needn't take all the paint off - it just needs to be smooth - it depends on how bad the runs are), then paint it again without putting as much paint on the brush. Do the "strokes in the same direction" thing. (ooer missus!).lynzpower wrote:I do like it when my hands arnt covered in sticky gloss.
The paint should be on the brush!Unfortunately glossing isn't like emulsioning. Surface finish rather than coverage is king.

I know - it kinda tastes peppery. Was a bit weird at first, and I did get bad indigestion but I soon got used to it. But am feeling good and positive about not smoking. If you did go to docs and get a prescription then you can have patches and 1 other thing; inhalator, lozenges, chewing gum, or nasal spray
I looked at the prices of these things in the chemist the other day and saw how expensive they all were. All around £20 and patches were about £14 for a week's supply... they certainly don't want you to be financially better off as a non-smoker!!!Ever wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? I agree with you crawley girl, to be honest its cheaper to smoke, epcially if youve gone onto rollies which I could never master try as i might! Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
