Not just "guarantee everything is reversible"!Maya - Soluto, Jul 06 02:56 pm (IDT):
Uninstalling Soluto will revert all changes back to their original settings, this is how we can guarantee everything is reversible.
Soluto uses its own mechanism to pause and delay applications, which means that once you pause a program Soluto takes over from Windows, and if you uninstall that mechanism will no longer work.
If all you had to do was run the software once, and from then on all boots would be magically faster - then who would ever buy the software after the trial period?0

Because in future you'll install more programs, and want their boot sequences to be optimised as well, or you'll uninstall something etc. They say it's genetic, they say he can't help it, they say you can catch it - but sometimes you're born with it0

I sent a mail to a friend re this program and she has sent this back which she found on a comments board I dont even understand what it means but is it valid anyone please? I dont even understand what it means but is it valid anyone please?

You know most of what all these programs do can be accomplished with Start -> Run -> Msconfig
Look at the StartUp tab and start unticking boxes for apps that you don't need.
If you are unsure of a name stick it into Google and find out what it is.
Things I've stopped on my machine:
 QTtask
 ManifestEngine
 ISStart
 LogiTray
 NeroCheck
 Realsched
I'll check for new versions when I'm ready - and I don't need joystick configuration utilities - you know the sort of thing - stop all the auto loads of ICQ/MSN/Skype etc.
When you reboot you'll get a splash telling you you are on a non standard config just tick (or is it untick?) the "don't show me this window again" box and away you go.
No need to install dodgy software.
You can also look at what services are running to see if anything looks unnecessary there too.:think:0

Thanks dekh, but I do that quite regularly but not being an advanced or confident user, I dither and leave a lot of things which I dont understand and even if I googled them Id be in two minds.
The beauty of this little program was it spoon feeds you with folders of the stuff that you mustnt touch and then the stuff you could think about and the no brainers. Its very simple to follow. And as I said, it halved my start up time. Ive never managed to get that with MSCONFIG0

I'm agreeing with hethmar, this program is very easy to use and when more people start using it the combined decisions will be very useful. I got my boot down from 2.34 to 2.22, still a long way to go! I need to google a lot of the programs though because I don't know what half of them are and neither does soluto. It's a semi-valid comment in some respects but a seriously paranoid one. The application works just fine.0

Since the sole function, as far as I am aware, is to delay the startup of some programs and services at boot time, and not to make changes to anything, I agree with the comment about "paranoia". If something always went wrong at boot time, I presume that you could back out this program while in Safe Mode?I sent a mail to a friend re this program and she has sent this back which she found on a comments board I dont even understand what it means but is it valid anyone please? Im the same jenny. But Ive been a bit braver today and taken their advice on some of the ones they have highlighted. The thing is too, if you "delay" or "pause" you arent actually deleting a program so its safe really to do it. It just means they dont start immediately, but after the computer is actually running or when you choose them to start. I halved my time! 0 and taken their advice on some of the ones they have highlighted.
