Don't forget you need to give your fridge and freezer 24 hours to settle before switching them on again!
Oops. Do people actually do this
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Well, we did that when we got our last fridge (new to us, had been in storage for a couple of months). I don't think it's an urban legend, like having to have your plasma TV "re-gassed" after a couple of years....:D‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.

When I bought my fr/freezer a couple of months ago, they just said to give it 2 or 3 hours before I opened the door....2023: the year I get to buy a car0

I gather you have sold your house? Fantastic! I can't wait to read all the details of how rich you are once the sale and purchase are done and dusted. I am guessing you will have a small mortgage and no other debt? *jealous*Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620

The new place has built in fridge and freezer I think, so no worries about letting it stand! My big American fridge freezer will go in the garage, where it will house tonic water, white wine and beer.....
Inky - good luck with your move next week!! Fingers crossed for good weather for you x
Seaxwyn, no debt, but still a big mortgage - I will be borrowing almost as much as I have outstanding on this one, and I think it works out at about £120 less a month on the monthly repayment (plus of course no big loan payments to make either) so all good there.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground.
