Wow!! Good luck!! I feel sure with the combined power of yours and your daughter's visualisation, you will soon be in the new house! Is it in the street of your dreams?

No.....this is a very practical place to live in the same village that we are currently in, so that DS can stay at school here, with his mates (currently in year 10, so v important to him).

It is quite unlike anything I had looked at before, but is v low maintenance, so am hoping for v low stress, enabling me to have more of a life!

Good - sounds a perfect plan. When your children are independent, you will be free to move wherever you want. I am already looking forward to my own small apartment for one!

That's the thing - I can see myself being in this "new" place on my own in 5 years time. It is completely *not* what I wanted, yet it is so right!

Oh wow. Yep! I know I don't have kids, so its not that way round for me, but if the other income streams work out, and I can let the counselling work tail away, thats how I feel. Not just about this house, but the next one - after all, when I'm a millionaire, I'll be able to have a detached house, even if its only a little bigger than this one .....

mac - oh, believe me, I am visualising away! DD has taken it one step further, as she now babysits for the lady who currently rents the place.....so she is virtually moved in :rotfl:

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: That's so funny!

But also, I like that. I think it's a good sign, like she's almost babysitting the house. Very good karma if you ask me - exciting!

    Any more viewings booked?

I could ask DD to start taking over the odd box of crockery to discretely place in cupboards etc....perhaps a pair of skis or two in the garage......?

Next viewing not until Tuesday, but at least they are still happening.

My intended purchase is chain free, so the agents know we can move quickly. I think I have covered every "what if?" scenario!!

Our last house purchase was supposedly 'chain free' and they'd move into rental and we'd get a quick exchange/completion, after 3 months of stalling we had to threaten to pull out as we'd need to sign up to a 6 month rental and no idea when it would complete. What a surprise they'd suddenly found a property and wanted to tie it into that. When we moved in the garage was full of 'their friends things they were storing' which wouldn't be out for another couple of weeks  This was a mega problem as we were moving from a bigger midlands house to a smaller London suburbs!!

Admittedly there were other things they'd managed to hide too, just not quite enough to start looking at talking to solicitors.

Unless a property is empty I'm now very sceptical of 'chain free' claims, so you do need to say what you mean by it to viewers and be explicit as to what you'd do.

Hey Hypno, I just had an idea. Why not write a Christmas Card to Yourself and put the new address on the envelope? You could pin it to the fridge and then you will see it every day. Did you see the link I put on MGs thread about the girl that won £20000 on Loose Women. She wanted a deposit for a house, she drew the house with £20000 inside it and put it on the fridge, won the money in July and has just completed on the house. See it works. Might be worth a try. Also could your DD secretly stash a card to the three of you at that address somewhere in the house when she is babysitting?
Hey its all fair when your life chances are involved. :rotfl:

    HaHa! Why not...

RE: viewings, good that you're still having them - and have had offers, so it really IS only a matter of time :)

I like that idea and maybe some sort of visual of the amount you need to achieve on yours? After this week, I really do believe that what you see in your mind, you can achieve!
