Yes that is a possibility, and the bit to top up is behind the washing machine so will be investigated.

Right, off to have a shower, be it hot or cold......fingers crossed for the former, or else it could end up being the quickest shower in the history of the world!

Do you have a water pressure gauge? Is the water pressure gauge in the green bit?

    Soo.....managed a hot shower - bonus!

The pressure gauge is showing low, so should be a case of topping up - XOH will do that when he brings the children home this evening....and will make sure that they get hot showers at his place, just in case it proves to be more than that.

In the meantime, I have two choices - do the ironing, to keep warm.....or snuggle up on the sofa in a fleecy blanket and watch DVDs.

Oh what a tough choice :rotfl:

Well there is a saying about the'The best laid plans of mice and men oft go awry', well definitely one of those!!

OH was due to have business calls and then we'd move hotels and cities. Well he woke up really ill and unable to travel, hotel duty doctors unavailable so discovered Dutch hospital waiting rooms, prescription methods etc - fortunately we had the EHIC card which helped a lot. Anyway, Hotel did have space for us to stay here, cancelled other hotel, OH's work meetings sorted. He's now tucked up back in bed with 10 days high dose antibiotics, which hopefully will kick in within a day or 2 otherwise we need to go back as it's apparently a very nasty infection he's got.

Timing was awful as it's really important meetings this week, and OH has only been with this company for just under a year after being made redundant last year.

Anyway, at least we don't have to move hotel, and we're in a city where we now know were to get basic essentials if needed, so it would have been worse if it was tomorrow he'd woken up ill.

Local taxi driver was super, he didn't charge anything for waiting at the Chemists while we picked up prescriptions en route back to our hotel, and it was a long wait. The Dutch doctor and system at the hospital were very quick and efficient too which was good.

Hope everyone's having a better start to the day than here :)

Sounds awful, se - I hope he gets better soon, and at least the systems all seem to be efficient there which helps.

Se, sorry to hear about OH being poorly - hope he recoveres soon. As to meetings - people do get ill and other people will have to understand this; tale a lot of re-organising though...
