Well decided that if I'm running outside next week I needed leggings, especially as it's getting colder here - wind from the north east this morning BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. Anyway got some Nike 'stay warm' dri-fit - hope they're the right ones!! I got the full length ones, not calf length, probably due to how cold it was this morning shopping. Didn't look quite as bad in the mirror in the sports shop as I thought they'd be, maybe the gym etc so far is working a bit. Will gradually accumulate more of the needed bits as the weather gets worse and when I'm sure running is going to be a LT part of life, don't want to waste cash on things and not get the full use out of them.

Week after next probably going to be in a hotel with a proper gym rather than just a fitness room. Gym use itself will be free, but not sure how much free help there is etc., but if there's not much free help does anyone know anything about personal trainers? Wondering if I should give it a try, not sure how much it would cost though. Any experiences/advice appreciated.

Enjoy the skiing lovey. Cheery loving your cheerful post as always. Just catching up on the last few days and it's great to see that so many of us are really getting organised and moving forwards.

I recently bought 2 pairs of knickers for most of my bras...my life is complete!

I have ALWAYS wanted to be this smart, chic woman but in the past I just didn't have the cash so did dress well but the stuff was old and I had to keep wearing the same bits all the time. Now I have a wee bit more to play with I have replaced lots of my tatty stuff with new and am well on the way to my capsule wardrobe. This has made a HUGE difference to how I feel when I open my wardrobe. I beleive that looking good does make you feel so much better and always take the time to do myself up. I understand that everyone has different demands on their time but I am my first priority and how I look has to be part of that. I also love keeping the house neat and tidy as I have lived in some hovels in the past with work and this one is my sanctuary and I so apprecaite that I am still in it so it's only right that I would look after it. And on that note, off to shower, get dressed and go into town.

    Have good days all XXX

Lovely post, Souk, you're right, its *so* important. When Hypno mentioned the drawer organisers the other day, I popped over to that site I bookmarked when it was first mentioned, mycapsulewardrobe, and had a proper look. Fascinating. I'mdefinitely going to work on the amount of clothes I've got, so many of them are tatty or here only for sentiment.

    Hi Se,

I have had a personal trainer for about six years now (and continue to have one despite everything). Chosing a personal trainer starts with looking around the gym - if there are many machines in the gym and the personal trainer is employed by the gym, please think again. Usually these fitness instructors construct their programmes around the use of machines rather than your needs and body.

My opinion is that one should always look for a gym that does not have many fitness machines (particualrly weights and resistence) and chose a fitness instructor who is not employed by the gym but has his own company (even if using the gym as a base). Former military make the best instructors ever.

Also, an hour with a firness instructor costs between £35-£50.

    Hope this helps.

Good evening - a good day but a long day.....so am very tired now and ready for G&T and the telly, with a fairly early night attached.

Souk, you hit the nail on the head, really, with the clothes - DD caught me putting my undies in order and said I had knicker OCD.....:rotfl:

......but secretly I think she was impressed :D

Have just seen on my online banking that the withdrawal I made from LW scratches earlier in the week has arrived - I must have got one of the last freebie payouts.......I will cherish it and am very grateful for all those that have gone before it!

I thought it might have been reversed, and wouldn't have been surprised, so it was a bit of a bonus to get it - I will be transferring it into the appropriate pot :D
