It was a difference of approaches, but seeing peoples viewpoints is good. I like to see new approaches too.

Anyway - I'd thought I was over the spider thing (won't touch, but safely release), but then just about to move out of elderly rental cottage just over a month ago, and came across over 3" spiders (, so didn't have time to research at the time. So assumed dangerous enemy aliens, apparently there are safe spiders that can be upto 6" (tenegerea) who are perfectly safe. But maybe 6" i spiders except in a zoo is a lot for most of us?

Anyway, lots of things on your thread trigger new ways I look at things, and most of the time don't post (doesn't seem like that at the minute), but still appreciative of the thread and the thoughts it triggers Hypno :)

Have a good relaxing night Hypno :)

Big spiders are not my thing either Se, I am not as bad as I used to be (living in a 400 year old thatched house soon made me see things differently as a teenager!) but I wouldn't be able to pick one up to put it outside!

nooooooooooo, don't kill the spiders!! I have a pact with spideys, they can play in the bath UNTIL I need to use it, then they get scooped out and put into the garden.

So sayeth a vegetarian of nearly 30 years :)

  • Spiders are nice - though some of them really sting. But only when hurt by mistake. My pathological thing is magots - in fact I have been know to almost change my apartment long time ago because I got some of those (forgot sultanas in the kitchen cabinet). A friend came around to clean them.
