Good end to a lousy week.

DS had got in a right mess over what course he was going to do from this month. Realised that although he *just* passed it he did NOT want to do the second year. Chose something else, college lost form now course is full ARGHH

Found another college-some distance but do-able by train -and they have his original first choice of course. Took a bit of sorting and my LEA/council are useless with out of area fare help -one minute it's no subsidy(although if I buy monthly season at the station at the college there's according to the net a 20% discount), next it's £399 for the year-then they think it may be free (fares are £12 a day eeek) but the college is great-brand new, not vast and the staff seem great. He seems to like it (Aspergers kids don't do positive) so I'm optomistic . Lost two days work with all the interviews at college and running around-but I think it was worth it .

Tax credits told me last November that a bank of dates I'd worked had been "taken off" my claim-They couldn't explain why but agreed they hadn't overpaid me and stopped clawing back repayments.....and that I should be getting a refund-Finally today after nummerous escalations and finally an MPs letter-it's sorted ! Tax credit payment will be an extra £40 a week and the refund of over £900 will be in my bank on Wednesday. Really pleased-but 10 months to process from the time they agreed it was their error is a bit much so wondering if I should attempt to claim interest or if it's not worth it to go through any more chasing.

Day off today and I've done NOTHING -I'm exhausted. (Not there's any money in the bank til Wednesday anyway) but I deserve a rest. Mind you I have a website to create for a friend's charity and a script to write for another friend for a celebrity charity infomercial that'll get multiple hits on fb from the celeb's fans so need to get bum into gear soon.

Morning all - a shocking nights sleep but hey ho! Coffee will fix that one as the morning goes on!

The end of the week is here - it has gone quite quickly this week. P is coming over this evening for a catch up and dinner, so that will be good :D

I hope you all have a good day......off to bank and scratch!

Me too- although i am resisting going MSE till later on in the day. So far so good.

Have a brill time tonight you two:D

Duchy, glad you managed to get things sorted. Not a great start to term, granted, but looks as though things will be ok going forward.

P and I had a lovely, and very MSE time last night - instead of a takeaway I got one of the Tesco Finest £9 meals for 2 which was yummy, although rather calorific :o although we did go for a walk around the village beforehand, which I am sure must have burned off a few calories, and of course if talking uses calories, which it must do, then I am sure we ended the evening calorie neutral :D

completely agree I dont think i've ever met two women who can sit on a sofa for 3 hours+ and not pause for breath between us!!!! cant believe the amount of calories we had though, that will be my 1lb loss back on!!!the walk around the village made a nice change from a run actually... it meant we could carry on talking!! :D tea finished, time to lock up and head to kent!!
