The North Norfolk Coast is well worth visiting. Brancaster, Holkham beach, that sort of thing.
Depends what you want really
Probably variety and not so much the shopping thing. I'm a member of National Trust and English heritage. I was also going to drop into the air museum at Flixton.- I would personally steer clear of Yarmouth, but then, I used to live there, so I am allowed to say that.
Norwich is a lovely city, but is small, so can be done in a day or so.
However "sunny" Norfolk is not an accurate description - or certainly hasn't been for most of the year so far!
You seem to have our anti-weather. When it rains here, it's sunny there..."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

Right........the 5am start has caught up with me good and proper, so off to Bedfordshire I go.
G'night all!

Are you that tall bloke on Come Dine With Me last night?!
No, I'm a short bloke. With a hat. Don't forget the hat.
It's my most distinguishing feature..."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

Good night. Enjoy your long lie in...
Yes, I managed a long lie in until just after 6am.......it's what Sunday mornings were made for!
We have a lot of NT properties in North Norfolk, but Flixton is actually in Suffolk, so you will need to make sure you have your passport ready if you want to be crossing the border.....
Norwich is nice even if you don't want to shop - the castle, 2 cathedrals and some lovely lanes down which to just wander - not quite the same as York, but I think it is a lovely city.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. So....today's plan - A run this morning, then I will be watching some of the GNR and cheering on all the MSE runners. Mum is coming and we will tackle some more sorting/painting and another trip to the tip or two, before collapsing on the sofa for a lazy evening with the telly and the laptop.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Right, time to "open up" a bit. As you know, I have kept more than I would like away from this diary, for obvious reasons, but little by little, I can say more.
So, today I can share with you (if you didn't already guess) the reason for my doing all this work to the house, and that is because it is on the market.
I am under no pressure to sell as part of the divorce, but I do feel it is the right thing to do for lots of reasons.
Property !!!!!! is out of the window - I have a smaller budget, and I want to use this to take the financial pressure off by reducing my mortgage. Also I have promised DS that we will stay in the village while he is at school.
I am therefore looking at a very different house move than the one I had previously dreamed of, but that doesn't mean that it is less beneficial, or less what I desire.
I have found two houses - both the same design, one a brand new build, not yet finished, one that has been lived in for 18 months or so. I won't post up details on here, and I am sure you will understand why, but needless to say, they are very different to houses I was posting before, but they are lovely and I can very definitely see myself living there. P has seen them too and agrees that they are perfect.
I put this house on the market last month, and have had a few viewings with a couple of offers, but nothing that was tempting enough or practical enough for me to accept.......yet.
So, I would like you all, please, to send me positive thoughts for selling this house and moving to somewhere which will enable me to lead a simpler life! It will be a big part of my "moving on" process, and is a step I am ready to take, and which I am looking forward to. The children are on board, fully, and very excited about the prospect as although it is a smaller house we are looking at, they will get much bigger bedrooms!
So, if the universe could please send me a lovely purchaser, within the next 30 days, I would be very grateful.
Thanks xxSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Sending you positive 'cosmic ordering' type vibes H, hope it all works out for you :jA positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

I spent some time working in Norfolk and spent many a happy Saturday morning in a cafe in Wroxham smiling at the antics of those holidaymakers renting boats being taught how to steer the craft. Is there something wicked about my sense of humour?0
