Well, I did just over 5 miles - it was so so hot, and I haven't eaten enough, so I felt rather queasy all the way round, but I did it, and that's good enough for me for today!

Am thinking about paying an amount into an account every month & then paying it off in full.

If it is part of an account that you use as an everyday account, then paying it bit by bit will be a struggle as there is always other money going out of the account too.
So I would def save up and pay it in one go, and then remove the facility completely to avoid temptation.
Alternatively, every time you pay off, say £100, ask the bank to reduce the overdraft facility by £100 to avoid you respending it.

So.....I would put away whatever you can into a separate account, that you can't dip into.....when you have £1000 in it, keep it in the savings account until the day before payday. Then transfer it to the overdraft, clear the overdraft, and the following day you will have a nice credit balance and a clean slate.
If you pay it off before payday, and then need cash again, you will be back in your overdraft and back to square one before you know it.
