Who was it said ' I would rather lie on a sofa than clean under it' ?

Good tips Mrs R- looks shamefully at toilet brush:o Not that anyone uses it other than me in the house.:eek:Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -
Thanks Mrs R - interesting to read. Within the two hours I'd also have to add in wiping down the skirting boards, door frames and picture rails - if glossed (damp cloth). Oh and dusting the picture frames (feather duster) followed by a spirit level to ensure they hang correctly when finished. Still possible within two hours.
Hadn't thought about making it obvious that you'ld cleaned under the sofa and sofa cushions - sometimes I find it wiser to pretend you didn't, honestly some people really don't tidy away all the things they should before the cleaner arrives
You didn't mention anything about the post-it notes that get left by the home owner requesting a focus on particular rooms (e.g., can you clean the windows in the conservatory) which means everything needs to be re-jigged
Oh, and you'll never find green and blacks on your pillow if I clean your house. I NEVER share chocolate
It's interesting having had a job as a cleaner - it makes doing your own home a doddle! Maybe everyone needs to take on a part-time job :rotfl:We could make HM go national between us0 -

DD Passed her GCSEs with good grades. Given all that has gone on this year, we are more than happy (and just a little relieved)!!
That's another hurdle hurdled
:j:j:jcongrats to Miss Hypno.
I too am a proud mum today. Both my Ds's came 5th in their respective cross country races yesterday. The rain even held off too.
I think this means that older one might be representing the school for his year. Will find out Friday.

Thanks Red. I am especially proud of DS2. He is very very very very competitive. But until this year hasn't had the skills to go with it. So had a lot of melt downs when he didn't win. This happened last year in the x country. This year he just kept on going and I couldn't be more pleased. It means that he is starting to accept FINALLY that he isn't necessarily the best at everything! Doesn't stop him trying to be and that is fine though.
Hypno. phew about the car. You must have been so relieved. Ref the grocery budget. Hmm tricky we are trying to do a budget each month, and are sticking to that so I think that will have to do at the moment. My throat hurts too much to think about food shopping...:(. Lovely present from DS2! sigh.
