Am glad I went for the run - the rain stopped, and the air was much fresher as a result. It was very hot, but quite nice. Did 7.5 miles so worth the effort.

Will be off for a shower in a mo, then back to the painting!

V, the cleaner will cost me £16 a week, so if I have to give up something else, it will be worth it for the help in the house, even though it is only 2 hours.

Just a warning for people to check their credit card statements carefully and frequently, OH has had a card cloned, only spotted it as one of the items was a supermarkets at home online order service, and we never order online from them, only use the shop. Card now stopped and new card on the way.

A laptop has stopped working too :(

But at least the sun is shining now :)

Hope everyone has a good day.

Card company were very good on the phone this morning, and we have other cards we can use. Just leaves a nasty taste, with the idea of people like that. Not sure where it was cloned either unfortunately, hope the card company can work it out.

They were pleased we spotted it so quickly, and transactions will be cancelled.

Main problem is all the online and other standard repeat details which use it for payment, so got to alter them before they bounce.

    Morning all

Sorry about the cloning Se - that happened last year to DH - very annoying.
Well done on the run Hypno - we are living parallel lives at the moment - running and glossing are order of the day for me too!

Congrats SF on your engagement - forgot to say that last night :)

Hope everyone has a good day!

What a happy thread this morning, congrats to all x

Hypno has a cleaner - marvellous news. I think £16 is a great price and, to me anyway, it would be worth £160, because it would be so very lovely to have a clean house for one day a week (if nothing else).

A girl I know has a cleaner and she gets her to change the beds - just imagine getting into a lovely clean bed that someone else has made - positively decadent!!

    Happy glossing!

I pay £16 for 2 hours, and love coming home to the smell of a clean house, knowing there is a lovely, newly ironed & made up bed waiting for me :). Worth every penny. It really is amazing what she gets through in 2 hours, but then she IS working, as opposed to me doing 2 hours housework of which 1/2 is spent drinking tea, on here or stopping to tidy something which usually means the whole process grinds to a halt :o.

    Happy Sunday everyone :)
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
