There is no point in negative thought, it takes up time and energy which could be used in a positive, happy way!

Sounds just like my friends' house - right now, she has two Poles, two Spaniards and a French boy. But that's £500 a week - though my head spins at the packed lunches and dinners (she has two girls of her own) ! She's always up to jiggery pokery with beds, bedding and bedrooms too.......

If i didn't need the money, I wouldn't do it. But I need the money, and with a bit of effort I can accommodate them, so that is what I will do.
I'd rather do that, than a whole load of car boot sales thoughSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

Aww good for him to realise that these things need sacrifices. My 2 are the same. I just hope that the lessons we are teaching them just now stand them in good stead throughout their lives and the only thing they use MSE for is advice on good deals.5 Year plan. Evening All,
The sad news of baby Cherry has brought me over here. I know that alot of the people that have diaries are very good friends but as Hypno is so well known, I thought here was the best place to post.
I'm going to start a collection for DT and her family to get some flowers/help out with the cost of Cherry's funeral.
The plan is to gather up the donations in my paypal account, then send it to Shaun in one lump sum as he is the best person to make sure DT and the family get it safely.
If you are interested in helping, please PM me, I'll send you my email address and we'll take it from there.Started PADdin' 13/04/09 paid £7486.66 - CC free 02/11/10

That is a really nice idea, angelicmary.
Right, day 13 of Shred done - I really did struggle to accept that my alarm was going off today, and could quite easily have stayed in bed for an extra half hour. But I got up and did it - am almost half way through the 30 days, and I can't give up now!
Off to scratch and bank now before diving in the shower and getting myself humanised again!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Not sure if any of you can remember this time last year when I was faced with a student invasion, that I had a shift in attitude and saw it as a "job" with all the discipline and organisation that employment generally involves, in return for a "wage".
Well, I am desperately trying to flick that switch again, and get myself geared up for what is going to be a few weeks of additional "employment".
I have lots to do - I have nowhere for them to sleep, or to sleep on, blinds need to be put back at windows, food needs to be arranged, the house needs to generally be tidy, and I need to become the perfect family host mother again.
And I have 5 days to do it in, during which I am working, have committed to run with new running buddy, blah blah blah.....
So....I will start, today, by making my meal plan for the first two weeks, which takes us up to the end of the first visit, and to the beginning of our week's holiday, plus will input an online tesco shop, for delivery at the weekend.
When I get home tonight, I will go for my planned run, and will then get up to date with my ironing.
DD is at home today waiting for a delivery, so I will ask her to do the kitchen for me.
And we will get there.......Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
I know I'm 'really' impatient but have you seen any difference so far in your body after being haf way through the shred? Did you measure before you began?0
